Rolscreen Removal and Roller Tension Adjustment:
The tension system which controls the rewinding of the screen cloth is similar to a pull-down shade.
NOTE: If tension does not increase by winding spring per the following instructions, the spring may be broken.
Replace roller assembly.
A. Remove cover if it is in place.
B. Position the screen by raising or lowering the screen so the
pull bar is 12" to 20" from the top. Remove each end of the
pull bar from the screen guides as shown.

C. Remove the screen from the screen assembly.
D. On the tab end of the roller assembly, position the
chamfer down.

A. Install the tab of the roller assembly (chamfer up) into the nylon
end cap.

E. Using locking pliers, rotate the tab in a counter-clockwise
direction until the catch engages.
F. Use the pliers to turn the tab clockwise 15 times to wind the
spring. Before removing the pliers from the tab, turn the pliers
counter-clockwise until the catch re-engages.

B. Slide the other end of the roller assembly into the other nylon
end cap.
C. Pull screen down 12" to 20" and rotate the pull bar between the
screen guides. Insert one end in each guide.

Operating a retractable screen may result in a static discharge. A static discharge in the
presence of a flammable substance such as aerosol lubricant could cause ignition. To
avoid injury and/or property damage, do not use any flammable substance on a retractable screen.

Rolscreen Installation (Continued):
D. Push screen cloth behind screen guides. (The screen will feed
into the guides when operating the screen.)
E. Test screen operation. If the roller tension seems too loose
or too tight; repeat removal and adjustment steps to add or
remove tension by turning the tab to increase or decrease
tension as shown in steps 1E-1F
