The Lens Monitor function must be disabled in the service menu before
installing the hemisphere lens, 503-0249-00. This can be done via the OSD
(service code required) or RS-232 interface.
Deselect the MAIN MENU - SERVICE - LENS MONITOR checkbox, OR,
Use ASCII command LMON to disable the projectors lens monitor function.
1. Detatch lens bayonet mount
Is the lens bayonet mount (B) detatched from the
main lens?
If yes, continue with step 2.
If not, detatch the lens bayonet mount (B) from the
lens by screwing it anti-clockwise before continuing
with the procedure.
2. Install bayonet mount to projector lens mount
Position the lens bayonet mount (B) in the projector
lens mount and then twist to the right until it is
firmly in place.
3. Install lens to bayonet mount
Install the main lens (C) to the lens bayonet mount.
Once in position, lock the lens in place by carefully
rotating the lens clockwise (2 - 3 rotations).
Do NOT force or overtighten!
A standard lens must be installed in the projector while the Lens Monitor
function is being deactivated.
If this is not available, an external control system must be used.
4. Adjust focus plane
Set up a test pattern (focus) on the image display.
Manually adjust the lens until the focus plane is
satisfactory. Twist the lens lock (D) clockwise to lock
the lens position and prevent accidental changes to
focus.
