2 INSTALLING THE FIERY EXPRESS DRIVER SOFTWARE
The Fiery Express Driver provides basic feature support for Fiery printing using Mac OS X 10.7
clients.
2.1 Prerequisites
You must have Mac OS X 10.5, or above, installed to use the Fiery Express Driver.
You must know the user authentication password for your local machine. The password is
required during the installation process.
IMPORTANT: The PPDs installed by the
FieryExpressMacDriver.pkg
are the only
supported PPDs for use with the Fiery Express Driver. Printer specific PPDs are not supported.
Macintosh OS X 10.7 users who want to print using Fiery features should print to the Fiery
“Held” queue then use Command WorkStation 5.x to edit the Job Properties.
2.2 Languages Supported
The Fiery Express Driver provides support for English, French, Italian, German, Spanish,
Japanese, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Swedish, Finnish, Danish,
Norwegian, Turkish and Russian.
2.3 Installing Driver Software
Installing the Fiery Express Driver is a two-step process. First, the Fiery Express Driver files are
installed to your hard disk. Second, the printer must be selected before printing .
Double-clicking on the
FieryExpressMacDriver.pkg
will begin the installation process.
