Temperature setting
Find a suitable temperature for a given room.Once the tem-
perature has been found, there is no reason to do more. The
thermostat does the rest.
If the temperature setting is 3, the room tempera-
ture is automatically held constant at about
20 °C.
If you want a lower temperature, e.g. 17 °C in the
bedroom, just turn to 2.
If you want a higher temperature, e.g. 23 °C in
the bathroom, adjust to 4.

Free heat saves energy!
Sunlight, kitchen appliances, electric light, TV etc. give off heat
and therefore help rise the room temperature. This is called
free heat.
The thermostat registers such free heat by automatically
closing down and your radiator gets cold.
When there no longer is enough free heat available, the ther-
mostat automatically opens again and the radiator will warm up.
Ventilation
During the heating season the windows should only be opened
briefly to let in fresh air.
If a long ventilation period is required the thermostat should be
turned down to .
Frost protection
If you are leaving your home for a long period of time, you can
safely turn the thermostat to . At this setting the thermostat
will keep the room temperature at about 7-8 °C thus protecting
the room against frost.
Night set-back
To save energy it may be a good idea to lower the room tem-
perature at night or at times when nobody is at home.
Do not cover the thermostat!
The thermostat must be able to register the temperature of the
room.
If it is covered by e.g. thick curtains or furniture, use a thermo-
stat with remote sensor!
Cleaning
The thermostat can be cleaned with mild detergents such as
washing-up liquid. Do not use scourers, alcohcol, solvents or
bleaching agents, because they can damage the radiator
thermostat.
