VERTICAL ID-100 CAMERA

Description

The Vertical ID-100 System is basically a standard ID-100 camera with the

Optical Assembly/Data Card Holder mounted in the vertical position (Refer to

Figure 1). The data card is inserted from the top. This produces a vertical ID

card with subject and data appearing one on top of the other instead of side-by-

side. To accommodate this change, some modifications were necessary.

Note: All new part numbers are designated in the illustrations and in the table on

page 6.

Repositioning the Optical Assembly/Data Card holder resulted in the following

modifications:

1. A new molded Front Shroud and extended Data Card Guide (Refer to

Figure 2).

2. The following Logic Board and Strobe Board connectors were modified

because they were obstructed by the repositioned Optical Assembly/Data

Card Holder:

Logic Board (Refer to Figure 3)

• DC to DC Converter Board Harness connector (P1).

• Subject and Data Shutter Solenoid Harness connector (P5).

Subject Strobe Board (Refer to Figure 4)

• Capacitor Board Harness connector (P1)

• Logic/Subject/Data Harness connector (P2)

3. To maneuver around the repositioned Optical Assembly/Data Card

Holder, the following harnesses were lengthened:

• DC to DC Harness (from Logic Board to DC/DC Converter Board)

- Refer to Figure 3.

• Logic/Subject/Data Harness (from Logic Board to Subject Strobe

and Data Strobe Boards) - Refer to Figure 3.

• Capacitor/Data Strobe Harness (from Capacitor Board to Data

Strobe Board) - Refer to Figure 5.

Camera Repair

Refer to the ID-100 Repair Manual for all repairs. All parts are the same except

for those noted in this addendum.

Important

Prior to modification of the Logic and Strobe boards, all obstructed connections

were soldered. Also, harnesses were lengthened with splices. If any of these

cameras are returned for repair, be sure to replace boards and/or harnesses

with the new parts listed on the next page.
