The equipment is only intended for HOME USE and is NOT INTENDED FOR COMMERCIAL, INSTITUTIONAL AND/
OR STUDIO FACILITIES USE.
Contact TROJAN with any questions regarding this classication. It is recommended that all users of TROJAN be informed
of the following information prior to use.

TROJAN recommends that all tness equipment be used in a supervised area. It is recommended that the equipment be
located in an access controlled area. Control is the responsibility of the owner. Keep children away from all equipment.
Parents or others supervising adults must provide close supervision of children if the equipment is used in the presence
of children.
INSTALLATION
TROJAN recommends that all equipment:
• Besecuredtoorsetuponasolid,levelsurfacetostabiliseandeliminaterockingortippingoverduringtraining.
• Besetupinsideyourhomeawayfrommoistureanddust(theequipmentisnotdesignedforoutdooruse).
• Besetupwithsufcientventilationtoensureproperoperation.
• Besetupwithsufcientspacearoundtheequipmentsothatallexercisescanbecompletedsafely.Itisrecommended
thatthereshouldbeatleast1mofspacearoundtheequipmentwhereaccessisrequiredtoexercise.
• Beinstalledbyourteamofinstallers.

TROJAN equipment is used properly to avoid injury.

• SlidetheSeatPostCover(59)upontotheSeatPost(5).Insertthe
Seat Post (5) into the Main Frame (1).
• AdjusttheseatpositionandinserttheM16x1.5SeatPostKnob
(48).TurntheM16x1.5SeatPostKnob(48)inaclockwise
direction to tighten.
• SlidetheSeatPostCover(59)downtotheMainFrame(1).

Curved Washers (15) from the Handlebar Post (7). Remove
the Bolts using the S6 Allen Key.
• InserttheHandPulseSensorWires(49)intotheholeon
the Handlebar Post (7) and then pull them out of the top
end of the Handlebar Post (7).
• AttachtheHandlebar(8)ontotheHandlebarPost(7)with
twoM8x15Bolts(19)andtwoØ16xØ8x1.5Curved
Washers (15) that were previously removed. Tighten bolts
with the S6 Allen Key.

HexToolprovided.
• ConnecttheHandPulseSensorWires(49)andExtensionSensorWire
(57)tothewiresthatcomefromtheComputer(56).Tuckwiresintothe
Handlebar Post (7).
• AttachtheComputer(56)ontothetopendoftheHandlebarPost(7)
withfourM5x10Bolts(42)thatwerepreviouslyremoved.Tightenbolts
withtheMultiHexToolprovided.
Adjusting the Tension Control Knob
• Toincreasetheload,turnthetensioncontrolknobinaclockwise
direction.
• Todecreasetheload,turnthetensioncontrolknobinacounter
clockwisedirection.
Adjusting the Adjustable Leveler
• Turntheadjustablelevelontherearstabiliserasneededtolevelthe
uprightbike.
Adjusting the Seat Height
• TurntheSeatPostKnobinacounterclockwisedirectionuntilitcanbe
pulled out. Pull out the Seat Post Knob and then slide the Seat Post up or
downtothesuitableposition.LocktheSeatPostinplacebyreleasingthe
Seat Post Knob and sliding the Seat Post up or down slightly until the Seat
PostKnob“pops”downintothelockedposition.TightentheSeatPost
Knobinaclockwisedirection.
NOTE:Whenadjustingtheheightofseatpost,makesuretheSeatPost
bushingdoesnotexceedthemarklineontheseatpost.

5. COMPUTER FUNCTIONS
BUTTON FUNCTIONS:
MODE: Press the MODE button to select each function of the computer.
 PressandholdtheMODEbuttonfor3seconds,alldatavalueswillcleartozero
excepttheODO(ODOMETER)datavalues.
SET: Press the SET button to set the data values for TIME, DISTANCE, CALORIES, or
PULSE for target pre-setting.
RESET: Press the RESET button to clear the data values for TIME, DISTANCE, or
CALORIEStozero.PresstheRESETbuttontocleardatavaluesforTIME,
DISTANCE,CALORIES,orPULSEtozerofortargetpre-setting.
 PressandholdtheRESETbuttonfor3seconds,alldatavalueswillcleartozero
excepttheODO(ODOMETER)datavalues.
COMPUTER FUNTIONS:
AUTOON/OFF: Whenyoustarttoexerciseorpressanykeyonthecomputer,thecomputerwillturnon.Ifyou
leave the equipment for 256 seconds (4 m 26 sec), the power will turn off automatically.
SCAN: PresstheMODEbuttonuntilthescreendisplaysSCAN;thecomputerwillautomaticallyscanthe
functions of TIME, SPEED, DIST (DISTANCE), CAL (CALORIES), ODO (ODOMETER) and P
(PULSE) every 6 seconds.
TIME: Displaysyourelapsedworkouttimeinminutesandseconds.Whenyoustarttoexercise,time
starts counting up from 0:00 to 99:59 minutes in 1 second increments. You may also pre-set a
target time in STOP mode before training. To set TIME press the MODE button until you see the
TIME on the screen. Press the SET button, TIME will begin ashing. Press the SET button to
change the time, each time you press the SET button the TIME should change by 1 minute. Press
theRESETbuttontoclearthetargettimetozero.Thepre-settargettimerangeisfrom00:00to
99:00minutes.Onceyoupre-settargettimeandthenstarttoexercise,timestartscountingdown
from pre-set target time to 0:00 in1 second increments. When the pre-set target time counts down
to 0:00, time will start to count up immediately and the computer will begin beeping to remind you.
SPEED: Display the current training speed.
DIST(DISTANCE): Displaystheaccumulativedistancetraveledduringworkout.Whenyoustarttoexercise,distance
startscountingupfrom0.0to999.9kmin0.1kmincrements.Youmayalsopre-setatargetdistance
in STOP mode before training. To set DISTANCE press the MODE button until you see DIST
on the screen. Press the SET button, DIST will begin ashing. Press the SET button to change
thedistance,eachtimeyoupresstheSETbuttonDISTANCEshouldchangeby1.0km.Pressthe
RESETbuttontoclearthetargetdistancetozero.Thepre-settargetdistancerangeisfrom0.0
to999.0km.Onceyoupre-setatargetdistanceandthenstarttoexercise,distancestartscounting
down from the pre-set target distance to 0.0. When the pre-set target distance counts down to 0.0,
the distance will start to count up immediately and the computer will begin beeping to remind you.
CAL(CALORIES): Displaysthetotalaccumulatedcaloriesburnedduringworkout.Whenyoustarttoexercise,
calories start counting up from 0.0 to 999.9 calories. You may also pre-set target calories in the
STOP mode before training. To set CALORIES press the MODE button until you see the CAL on
the screen. Press the SET button, CAL begin ashing. Press the SET button to change the calories,
each time you press the SET button CALORIES change by 1.0 calorie. Press the RESET button to
clearthetargetcaloriestozero.Thepre-settargetcaloriesrangeisfrom0.0to999.0calories.
Onceyoupre-settargetcaloriesandthenstarttoexercise,caloriesstartcountingdownfromthe
pre-set target calories to 0.0.

5. COMPUTER FUNCTIONS (CONT. )
When the pre-set target calories count down to 0.0, calories will start to count up immediately
and the computer will begin beeping to remind you. (This data is a rough guide for comparison of
differentexercisesessionsandshouldnotbeusedasmedicaladvice).
ODO (ODOMETER): Displays the total accumulative distance traveled. The data values of the ODO can be cleared to
zerobypressingandholdingtheMODEorRESETbuttonfor3seconds.Ifyoutakethebatteries
outofthecomputer,theODOdatavalueswillcleartozero.
P (PULSE): Displays your current heart rate gures after you grip the handlebar sensors with both your
handsduringexercise.Toensurethepulsereadoutismoreprecise,pleasealwaysholdontothe
handlebar grip sensors with two hands instead of just with one hand. You may also pre-set target
heart rate in the STOP mode before training. To set PULSE press the MODE button until you
see the P on the screen. Press the SET button, target heart rate will begin ashing. Press the SET
buttontopre-settargetheartrate.PresstheRESETbuttontoclearthetargetheartratetozero.
The pre-set heart rate range is from 40 to 240 beats per minute. Once you pre-set target heart
rateandthenstarttoexercise,pleasegripthehandlebarsensorswithbothyourhandsduring
exercise.Iftheheartratedetectedisgreaterthanthetargetheartrate,thecomputerwillbegin
beeping to notify you.

HOW TO INSTALL THE BATTERIES:
1. Remove the battery cover at the rear of the computer.
2. Placetwo“SIZE-AA”batteriesintothebatteryhousing.
3. Insurebatteriesarecorrectlypositionedandbatteryspringsmakepropercontactwiththebatteries.
4. Re-install the battery cover.
5. If the display is illegible or only partial segments appear, remove batteries and wait 15 seconds before reinstalling.

7. CONDITIONING GUIDELINES
Howyoubeginyourexerciseprogramdependsonyourphysicalcondition.Ifyouhavebeeninactiveorareseverely
overweight,youmuststartslowlyandincreaseyourtimeontheequipment;afewminutesperworkout.Initially,youmay
beabletoexerciseonlyforafewminutesinyourtargetzone,however,youraerobictnesswillimproveoverthenextsix
toeightweeks.Don’tbediscouragedifittakeslonger.It’simportanttoworkatyourownpace.Ultimately,you’llbeable
toexercisecontinuouslyfor30minutes.Thebetteryouraerobictness,theharderyouwillhavetoworktostayinyour
targetzone.Pleaseremembertheseessentials:
•Haveyourdoctorreviewyourtraininganddietprogramstoadviseyouofaworkoutroutineyoushouldadopt.
•Beginyourtrainingprogramslowlywithrealisticgoalsthathavebeensetbyyouandyourdoctor.
•Monitoryourpulsefrequently.Establishyourtargetheartratebasedonyourageandcondition.
EXERCISE INTENSITY
Tomaximizethebenetsofexercising,itisimportanttoexercisewiththe
proper intensity. The proper intensity level can be found by using your heart
rateasaguide.Foreffectiveaerobicexercise,yourheartrateshouldbe
maintainedatalevelbetween65%and85%ofyourmaximumheartrate
asyouexercise.Thisisknownasyourtargetzone.Youcanndyourtarget
zoneinthetablebelow.
Duringtherstfewmonthsofyourexerciseprogram,keepyourheartratenearthelowendofyourtargetzoneasyou
exercise.Afterafewmonths,yourheartratecanbeincreasedgraduallyuntilitisnearthemiddleofyourtargetzoneas
youexercise.
Tomeasureyourheartrate,stopexercisingbutcontinuemovingyourlegsorwalkingaroundandplacetwongerson
yourwrist.Takeasixsecondheartbeatcountandmultiplytheresultsby10tondyourheartrate.Forexample,ifyour
six-secondheartbeatcountis14,yourheartrateis140beatsperminute.(Asixsecondscountisusedbecauseyour
heartratewilldroprapidlywhenyoustopexercising.)
Adjusttheintensityofyourexerciseuntilyour
heart rate is at the proper level.

8. WARM-UP AND COOL-DOWN
WORKOUT GUIDELINES
Eachworkoutshouldincludethefollowingthreeparts:
Awarm-up,consistingof5to10minutesofstretchingandlightexercise.Aproperwarm-upincreasesyourbody
temperature,heartrate,andcirculationinpreparationforexercise.
Trainingzoneexercise,consistingof20to30minutesofexercisingwithyourheartrateinyourtrainingzone.

1. Toe Touch Stretch
Standwithyourkneesbentslightlyandslowlybendforwardfromyourhips.Allow
yourbackandshoulderstorelaxasyoureachdowntowardyourtoesasfaras
possible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3times.Stretches:Hamstrings,back
ofkneesandback.
2. Hamstring Stretch
Sitwithonelegextended.Bringthesoleoftheoppositefoottowardyouand
restitagainsttheinnerthighofyourextendedleg.Reachtowardyourtoesasfar
aspossible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:
Hamstrings,lowerbackandgroin.
3. Calf/Achilles Stretch
With one leg in front of the other, reach forward and place your hands against a wall.
Keepyourbacklegstraightandyourbackfootatontheoor.Bendyourfrontleg,
leanforwardandmoveyourhipstowardthewall.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.
Repeat 3 times for each leg. To cause further stretching of the achilles tendons, bend
yourbacklegaswell.Stretches:Calves,achillestendonsandankles.
4. Quadriceps Stretch
Withonehandagainstawallforbalance,reachbackandgrasponefootwithyour
otherhand.Bringyourheelasclosetoyourbuttocksaspossible.Holdfor15counts,
thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:Quadricepsandhipmuscles.
5. Inner Thigh Stretch
Sitwiththesolesofyourfeettogetherandyourkneesoutward.Pullyourfeet

1. The upright bike wobbles when in use.
• Turntheadjustablelevelerontherearstabiliserasneededtoleveltheuprightbike.
2. There is no display on the computer consol.
• Removethecomputerconsolandverifythewiresthatcomefromthecomputerconsolareproperlyconnectedto
the wires that come from the handlebar post.
• Checkifthebatteriesarecorrectlypositionedandbatteryspringsareinpropercontactwithbatteries.
• Thebatteriesinthecomputerconsolmaybedead.Changetonewbatteries.
3. There is no heart rate reading or heart rate reading is erratic / inconsistent.
• Makesurethatthewireconnectionsforthehandpulsesensorsaresecure.
• Toensurethepulsereadoutismoreprecise,pleasealwaysholdontothehandlebargripsensorswith
two hands instead of just with one hand.
• Youaregrippingthehandpulsesensorstootight.Trytomaintainmoderatepressurewhileholdingontothehand
pulse sensors.

12. TROJAN 1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
The Manufacturer hereby provides a warranty to the original purchaser of this product (‘the Consumer’) that this
productwillbefreeofmanufacturingdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshipwhichundernormal,personal,familyor
householduse(commercialuseexpresslyexcluded)manifestthemselveswithinthe1yearfromthedateofpurchase.
EXCLUSIONS

If such proof is not available, then notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, the service agent’s prevailing charges
for services/repairs including call-out and/or spares will be payable by the consumer upon collection or delivery of the

• Theoperatorortechnicaladvisorwilltryidentifythefault,andwillbookaserviceteamcallout.
• Theserviceteamwillendeavourtoxtheprobleminyourhomeonanagreeddateandtime.
• Onlyifthefaultcannotberepairedintheconvenienceofyourhome,willtheserviceteamtakethe
faultyproductbacktotheservicecentre.
• Itemsrepairedinourservicecentrewillbereturnedtoyourhomeonanagreeddateandtime.
