Double couche:
Les DVD double couche sont composés de deux
fines couches organiques incorporées et teintées,
ce qui permet de stocker quasiment le double de
données par rapport à un DVD classique. Ils peu-
vent contenir jusqu’à 4 heures de contenu vidéo
de qualité DVD (ou 16 heures de contenu vidéo de
qualité VHS) ou 8,5 Go de données informatiques sur
un seul disque.
Enregistrement intelligent:
Cette nouvelle fonctionnalité permet d’atteindre
une qualité optimale d’enregistrement sur tout type
de support grâce aux technologies AutoStrategy,
IntelligentTilt et PoweRec.
• AutoStrategy:
Cette fonctionnalité optimise la stratégie d’écriture
pour chaque disque en calculant la puissance laser
adéquate et en l’adaptant en temps réel. Elle
enregistre ensuite les stratégies dans la mémoire
flash du graveur ou sur le disque dur local.
Le graveur apprend donc les stratégies par lui-même,
garantissant ainsi une grande compatibilité avec tout
nouveau support.
• IntelligentTilt:
Cette technologie permet de corriger les anomalies
du laser par l’intermédiaire d’un cristal liquide dans
le bloc optique et d’un « mécanisme de tilt » en 3D.
Ce système garantit que, durant l’enregistrement, le
point focal du laser est positionné à l’endroit exact de
la surface du disque pour obtenir un enregistrement
de haute qualité sur tous les supports, y compris les
supports double couche.
• PoweRec:
Les supports de faible qualité (CDs/DVDs) sont très
souvent la source d’erreurs d’écriture pendant l’enregistre-
ment à haute vitesse. La technologie PoweRec (utilisée
par le graveur PX-716A/PX-716UF) vérifie la qualité et
sélectionne automatiquement la vitesse d’écriture opti-

Doppio strato:
I DVD a doppio strato sono costituiti da due sottili

a few minutes. The PX-716A/PX-716UF is compatible

Double layer:
Double layer DVD’s have two thin embedded orga-
nic dye films for data storage, effectively almost
doubling the storage capacity. Double layer DVD’s
can hold up to 4 hours of DVD-quality video
(16 hours of VHS-quality video) or 8.5 Gbytes of com-
puter data on a single disc.
Intelligent Recording:
This new feature achieves the highest quality recor-
ding for any media via AutoStrategy, IntelligentTilt
and PoweRec.
• AutoStrategy:
This new feature optimizes the writing strategy for
each disc by calculating the optimum laser power
and adjusting it in real-time. It then stores the stra-
tegy to the Drive’s Flash memory or local HDD. The
drive thus learns the appropriate strategies by itself,
guaranteeing wide compatibility with any new media.
• IntelligentTilt:
This new feature corrects laser wave aberration using
a liquid crystal in the optical pickup unit and a
3-dimensional tilt actuator mechanism. This system
ensures that the focal point of the laser is positioned
exactly on the disc’s surface during recording which
enables high quality recordings on any media,
including DL media.
• PoweRec:
Low-quality media (CDs/DVDs) are very often the
source of disk errors during high-speed recording.
The PoweRec technology (used by the PX-716A/PX-
716UF) checks the quality of the media and automa-
tically selects the optimum (maximum) writing speed,
giving the highest quality result.
GigaRec:
With the “GigaRec” function, you can store up to 1 GB
of data on a standard 99 minute CD (or up to
900 MB on an 80 minute CD), an increase in capacity
of over 30%, which will be particularly appreciated
by music lovers. It’s also possible to decrease the
density by 40% for extra data security and reliability.
SecureRecording:
With the “SecureRecording” hardware password pro-
