1. General

1.1. Intended applications

The EBT 01 allows the wireless data transfer (maximum range approximate 50 m) from

Internormen In-line units to external computers. It is intended for the transmission of stored

and actual measurement results from MPM 01, CCM 01 or WSTM 01 to an external

computer.

This manual contains informations and safety advices, which ensure risk free operations

and which help to keep the device in an ideal condition.

Therefore it is necessary that all people involved in operating the EBT 01 do note this

manual unconditionally.

1.2. General informations

Bluetooth is an industry standard according to IEEE 802.15.1 for the wireless short distance

data transfer ( up to 50 m outdoor – depending on the used Bluetooth adapter on the

computer ).

The EBT 01 - module is a complete Bluetooth-solution, which consists of the Bluetooth

controller LMX9830, an antenna and complete integrated software protocol stack (Bluetooth

2.0).

The EBT 01 in combination with a commercial Bluetooth adapter is intended for wirelless

transmission of the stored results as well of the actual measurement results from an

Internormen In-line-display unit (MPM 01, CCM 01, WSTM 01) to an external computer.

2. Installation

2.1. Installation of the EBT 01 in the In-line-display unit

Disconnect the In-line-display unit from the power supply.

Connecting of the EBT 01 with the display unit:

o loosen the screws of the cover from the display unit and remove the cover.

o Connect the EBT 01 – modul with the connection SV 1 on the In-line-display unit

by using the dorsal black plug.

Fastening again of the cover from the display unit and reconnecting of the power supply

for the display unit.

The EBT 01 is now ready for use. An additional power supply for the EBT 01 is not

necessary.

2.2. Establish a connection to the external computer

If not yet available on the computer, you have to install the Bluetooth adapter (for

example: with USB – interface) according to the instruction manual of the manufacturer.

Establish a connection with the EBT 01 by using the software of the Bluetooth-adapter

accomplish a hardware search. (passwort EBT 01: 2094)

o The EBT 01 will be recognized by the computer by means of the SPP (Serial

Port Protocol).

The EBT 01 is now ready for operation and a data transfer from the Inline-display unit to the

computer can be arranged now.

3.2. Trouble shooting

No settings of the EBT 01 are done by the operator.

In case of the malfunctions, please contact INTERNORMEN Technology GmbH.

A brief description of the problem would expedite the trouble shooting and the repair

process. To chexk your warranty and to answer questions by phone we need the ID-

number and the date of purchase of the instrument.
