Arrival / Inspection
Step1: The treater will be shipped in a crate on a pallet.
Remove all components and check for damage that may have occurred during shipping.
Report any damage IMMEDIATELY!
If used without the Caster Kit, locate the Treater on a solid, flat vibration-free surface.
Anchor the assembly to the floor.
Plan accordingly!
The Treater must be easily accessible to electricity and compressed air.
Allow access to the Treater from all sides for the purpose of adjustments, maintenance and clean-up.
Provide 230VAC, 3-ph, 60 Hz, 30a. Service for the CBT control box.
Use secure, twist lock plug connections.

Several basic requirements are necessary
to ensure proper equipment installation.
Read through and understand this manual.
Caution: Ensure a licensed electrician wires the
system following the National Electrical Codes
for the area. Wiring schematics are enclosed
inside the Control Panel.
6
Step 1: Connect a minimum of 60psi air pressure to the Regulator, approximately 28 in
3
/ batch.
Note: Customer to provide chemical supply tanks.
The Control Panel handles up to two separate
chemical pumping stations and each requires
calibration before treatment begins.
Note: Consult the Supply Tank manual for proper
installation and operation details.
Step 3: Open the Pump Head.
Insert one end of the Pump Element into the lower fitting on the inside of the Hopper Frame.
Set the Pump Element on the Pump rollers.
Connect the other end of the Pump Element to the elbow fitting connected to the top of the Hopper Frame.
Close the Pump Head on the Pump Element.

Application Rate Options
Determine the Liquid to Seed Application rate.
Read the treatment product label for the application rate per CWT (100 pounds) of seed...
Example: 5 ounces of treatment/cwt of seed at a dilution rate of 1:1 with water equals 10 ounces/cwt of total treatment.
RATE: If listed in ounces, convert to ml (1 oz = 29.6 ml)...
Example: 10 ounces x 29.6 cc/ounce =296 ml
RATE: If listed in ml/pound, divide ml rate of treatment/cwt of seed by 100...
Example: 296 ml/cwt ÷ 100 lbs = 2.96 ml/lbs
RATE: If listed in ml of treatment/minute, multiply ml of treatment/pound of seed by lbs of seed/minute...
Example: 2.96 ml/lbs. x 400 lbs/minute = 1,184 ml per minute.

Step 5: Turn and hold the Liquid Pump #1 Switch (on the Control Panel) to JOG for one minute.
The ON light above the switch turns on while the Jog switch is held in that position.
Chemical will draw from the Supply Tank, through the Pump and into the Graduated Cylinder on the Digital Scale.
Release the Liquid Pump #1 Switch (returns to OFF position) and the ON light turns off.
Continued
Step 4: Push the LS Pump Control switch to FWD.
The green Power light will also indicate that the power is ON when lit.
Adjust the LS Pump Control Speed Indicator Dial to increase or decrease Pump dispersion rate /
output speed.
Faster = more chemical pumped, slower = less.

Example: if the required application rate
is 10 ounces (296ml) of treatment per
hundredweight (cwt) of seed (60lbs in 1 minute),
the desired amount of treatment that needs to
fill the calibration beaker in 1 minute would be
177.6ml...
296ml ÷ 100cwt = 2.96ml x 60lbs = 177.6
Step 6: Note the amount of chemical pumped in one minute and compare that number to the desired application rate.
Step 7: Empty the Graduated Beaker back into the Supply Tank.
Adjust the LS Pump Control Speed Indicator Dial to increase or decrease Pump dispersion rate / output speed.
Faster = more chemical pumped, slower = less.
Repeat Steps 4-6 until the desired amount of chemical pumps in one minute.
Once the calibration process is complete and the desired application rate is achieved, lock the Pump Speed Dial.
Continued
Note: The IP pump is rated in millilitres per
revolution. Capacity of the pump and element
will vary with the viscosity of treatment product
used. The Pump (with #82 element) has a
maximum output of 2-1/2 gallons per minute.

#2,if used.

PRE-PUMP TMR
This timer controls the start time of the pumps after the seed gate is open and seed enters the bowl.
Each timer has an Accumulator (ACC) which is shown first.
Operators will need to use the arrow down key to scroll through the different timers.
The PRE after the timers are where operators set the time desired or need for the task.
Examples:
If there is seed left in the hopper, the operator will increase the Bowl Filling Timer, or if there is not enough / or too
much chemical, the operator will adjust the Pump 1 Timer.
If the seed is too wet when it discharges, the operator will increase the Drying Timer. If there is seed left in the bowl
after the bowl discharge door closes, the operator will increase the Discharge Timer.
