1. High-Flow Kit Installation
1.1. General Safety
For complete STORM seed treater safety information, please consult your user manual.
1.1.1. Seed Treater Safety
Hazards associated with handling, sorting, mixing and storage of treated seed can be
minimized by following the safety precautions listed below. The below are guidelines
only and vary based on the type of seed treatment being used. Consult the seed
treatment information sheets for full details.
Use the seed treater only outdoors, do not use inside a building or structure.
Thoroughly clean the seed treater after use. Some seed treatments are corrosive
and others may plug the equipment. Do not run contaminated water into a stream,
public sewer, or in a location where it could contaminate the groundwater or come
into contact with people or animals.
1.1.2. Personal Protective Equipment
Safety Glasses
Wear safety glasses at all times to protect eyes from debris.
Respirator
A respirator may be needed to prevent breathing potentially harmful
fumes and dust.
Coveralls
Wear coveralls to protect skin.
Chemically Resistant Gloves
Wear chemically resistant gloves to protect your hands from chemicals.
Rubber Boots
Wear rubber boots to protect feet.
Steel-Toe Boots
Wear steel-toe boots to protect feet from falling debris.

1.2. Procedure Overview
For all STORM models, the following tasks must be completed to install the high-flow kit:
Note: Use silicone spray to reduce the friction when attaching hoses to hose barbs.
1.3. Empty the Fluid Lines
Important: Before beginning this procedure, ensure the pump tubing is able to discharge into an
appropriate container or vessel.
1. From the main menu, tap MaintenanceFlush Out.
2. Ensure the conveyor is set to Off.
3. Ensure pumps 1 and 2 are set to On in the Reverse direction.
4. Tap Start to begin emptying the lines.
5. Perform a visual check to ensure the lines are empty.
6. Tap Stop to finish the procedure.

Note:
1. Release the pressure shoe of pump 1 by disengaging the lever.
2. Loosen the hose clamps on each end of the standard I/P-73 tube element. (See
Figure 1.1)
3. Disconnect the tubing from the hose barbs.
4. Remove the I/P-73 tube element.

1.5. INSTALL AND TEST THE SECOND PUMP HEAD
10 30982-R1
2. Slide the extended mounting screws (see Figure 1.4) through the empty mounting
holes of the second pump head.
3. Align the extended mounting screws with the screw holes of the installed pump
head.
4. Fit the second pump head onto the installed pump head.
5. Turn the rotor of the second pump head to connect the shafts of the two pump
heads.
Note: The shafts are properly seated in the receiver when the additional pump heads move
closer together.
6. Tighten the extended mounting screws.
1.5.2. To Test the Second Pump Head
1. From the main menu, tap MaintenanceFlush Out.
2. Ensure the conveyor and pump 2 are set to Off.
3. Ensure pump 1 is set to On in the Forward direction.
4. For 2015 models, verify the pump heads are rotating clockwise. For 2014 models,
verify the pump heads are rotating counterclockwise.
5. Tap Stop after verifying the pump rotation.
Note: If the pump heads do not rotate, the extended mounting screws are likely too tight.
Loosen the screws until both rotors begin to rotate. Tighten and loosen the screws as
required. If the pump heads continue to seize, remove both pump heads and strike the
mounting surface with a rubber mallet to ensure the mounting surface is true.

3. Slide a hose clamp onto one end of an I/P-26 tube element provided in the kit.
4. Push the end of the I/P-26 tube element over the barbed fittings installed in step 2.
(See Figure 1.6)
5. Tighten the hose clamp until snug.
Important: Over-tightening the hose clamps can damage the tubing.
6. Repeat steps 3. to 5. for all remaining hose barbs.
7. Center both I/P-26 tube elements over the pump rotors.
8. Ensure the tube elements are centered in the retaining clamps found on either side
of the pump motor.
9. Re-engage the lever on the pressure shoes of both pump 1 heads.

1.6.2. 2014 Model
Note: Before proceeding, ensure pump 1 (closest to the electrical box) is connected to the
outside bank of plumbing; ensure pump 2 is connected to the inside bank of plumbing.
This may require swapping the tubing on the output side of the pumps.
Figure 1.8 Installing the tee-fitting
1. Turn the pressure gauge counterclockwise to ensure adequate clearance for
removing the hose barb and installing the tee-fitting (see Figure 1.8)
2. Remove the 90° hose barb fitting from the plumbing manifold.
Important: Use thread sealing tape when installing the tee-fitting and hose barb in steps 3. and 4.
3. Install the tee-fitting assembly.
4. Install the 90° hose barb removed in step 2. into the tee-fitting.
5. Orient the tee-fitting and hose barb assembly to match the direction indicated in
