1.0 About your security system
Readthismanualcarefullyandhaveyourinstallerinstructyouonyoursystem'soperationandon
whichfeatureshavebeenimplementedinyoursystem.Allusersofthissystemmustbefullyinstruc-
tedinitsuse.FillouttheSystemInformationpagewithallofyourzoneinformationandaccess
codes,andstorethismanualinasafeplaceforfuturereference.
Note:Theiotegasecuritysystemincludesspecificfalsealarmreductionfeaturesandisclassified
inaccordancewithANSI/SIACP-01-2014ControlPanelStandard-FeaturesforFalseAlarm
Reduction.Consultyourinstallerforfurtherinformationregardingthefalsealarmreductionfea-
turesbuiltintoyoursystem,asthismanualdoesnotcoverallfeatures.
1.1 Fire detection
Ifyourinstallerenablesthisfeature,thissystemcanmonitorfiredetectiondevices,suchassmoke
detectors,andprovideawarningifafireconditionisdetected.Goodfiredetectiondependsonhav-
inganadequatenumberofdetectorsplacedinappropriatelocations.Thisequipmentmustbe
installedinaccordancewithNFPA72(N.F.P.A.,BatterymarchPark,QuinceyMA02269).Care-
fullyreviewtheFireEscapePlanningsectioninthismanual.
1.2 Carbon monoxide detection
Ifyourinstallerenablesthisfeature,thissystemcanmonitorcarbonmonoxidedetectorsand
provideawarningifcarbonmonoxideisdetected.RefertotheFireescapeplanningandCarbon
monoxidedetectorssectionsformoreinformation.
1.3 Testing your system
Thesystemtestactivatesa4-secondcheckofthesystemstatusLEDs,keypadLEDs,buzzer,and
siren.Itisapartition-basedtestandmustbedonewhenthesystemisdisarmed.
Youcanperformasystemtestfromthewebportal.
Thefollowingeventshappenduringasystemtest:
l AllsystemstatusLEDsflashfor4seconds.
l Asystemtesttransmitstothemonitoringstation.
l Thesystemchecksthebackupbatterylevel.
l ThekeypadLEDsilluminatefor4seconds.
l Thesystembuzzersoundsfor4seconds,orthepartitionbuzzerandsirensoundfor2
secondseachinseries.
Testyoursystemweeklytoensurethatitfunctionsasintended.Informyourmonitoringstation
whenyoubeginandendsystemtesting.
Aqualifiedservicetechnicianmusttesthouseholdfirealarmsystemsatleastevery3yearsin
accordancewithNFPA72.Itisyourresponsibilitytotestthesystemweekly,excludingsmoke
detectors.
Ifthesystemfailstofunctionproperly,callyourinstallationcompanyforservice.

1.4 Monitoring
Thissystemcantransmitalarms,troublesandemergencyinformation.Ifyouinitiateanalarmby
mistake,immediatelycallthemonitoringstationtopreventanunnecessaryresponse.
Notes:
l Yourinstallermustenablethemonitoringfunctionbeforeitisfunctional.
l Consultwithyourinstallertodetermineifyoursystemisconfiguredwithacommunicator
delay.Acommunicatordelaypreventsareporttothemonitoringstationifthecontrol
panelisdisarmedwithin30-45secondsafteranintrusionalarmistriggered.Notethat
fire-typealarmsarenormallyreportedwithoutadelay.
l Ifenabledandconfigured,youcancelanalarmafterthecommunicationdelaywiththe
alarmcancelwindow.RefertotheAlarmcancelwindowsectionformoreinformation.
l ContactyourinstallertoverifythatyoursystemiscompatiblewiththeCentralStation
Receiverformatatyearlyintervals.
1.5 Cleaning and maintenance
KeepyourAlarmControllerinoptimalconditionbyfollowingalltheinstructionsthatareincluded
withinthismanualand/ormarkedontheproduct.Itistheend-user'sand/orinstallersresponsibility
todisposeofusedbatteriesaccordingtothewasterecoveryandrecyclingregulationsapplicableto
thelocalmarket.
l Cleantheunitbylightlydustingwithaslightlymoistenedcloth.
l Donotwipethefrontcoverwithalcohol.
l Donotusewateroranyotherliquid.
l Donotuseabrasives,thinners,solventsoraerosolcleaners(spraypolish)thatmayenter
throughholesandcausedamage.

Replacethestandbybatteryevery3-5years.

2.0 General system operation
Yoursecuritysystemcomprisesanintegratedalarmcontrol/panelandvarioussensorsanddetectors.
Thesystemisself-contained;thecontrolpanel,integratedkeypad,andstandbybatteryareall
housedwithintheunit.
Thesecuritysystemhasseveralzonesofareaprotection.Azoneisasensorordetectorthatcom-
municateswiththepanel.Asensorinalarmisindicatedontheintegratedkeypad,wirelesskeypad,
touchscreenkeypad,andbymessagesonthemobilephoneuserapplication.
2.1 Integrated keypad
Theiotegasystemincludesacapacitivetouchintegratedkeypadwith16keys:numbers0thru9,*,
#,Fire,Auxiliary,Panicemergencykeys,andshift(uparrow).
Duringpowerup,thenumberkeysilluminateinsequenceseveraltimes.Innormaloperation,the
keypadremainsoffwhennotinuse.Whenyouwaveyourhandincloseproximitytothekeypad,the
numberkeysilluminate.

l Theemergencykeysdonotilluminateunlessyoutaptheshiftkey.SeetheEmergency
Keyssectionformoreinformation.
l Youcanonlyusethekeypadforarming,disarming,andtheemergencykeys.Thesame

Asecuritysystemcannotpreventemergencies.Itisonlyintendedtoalertyouandyourmonitoring
station,ifapplicable,toanemergencysituation.Securitysystemsaregenerallyveryreliable,but
theymaynotworkunderallconditionsandtheyarenotasubstituteforprudentsecuritypracticesor
lifeandpropertyinsurance.Yoursecuritysystemmustbeinstalledandservicedbyqualifiedsecur-
ityprofessionals.Theseprofessionalscaninstructyouonthelevelofprotectionthathasbeen
providedandonsystemoperations.
2.5.1 Power save mode
WhenthepanelisinPowerSavemode,itissavingbatterylife.Theintegratedkeypadisnotturned
onuntilthereisaspecificreason,suchasahandwaveinfrontofthepanel,orthestartofanentry
delay.
Wheninitiated,thestatusindicatorsstayonfor30secondsbeforeturningoff.Inthismode,the
panelisstillfunctioning,butnothingisvisible.
Note:ForULlistedinstallations,theuserappandtouchscreenkeypadfunctionsarenotavailable
inthismode;therefore,youmustusetheintegratedkeypadorthewirelesskeypadtoarmordisarm
thesystem.

Youcanarmthesystemusingthefollowingoptions:

3.1 Stay arming
Stayarmingarmsonlytheperimeterofthepremisespermittingmovementinside.
Note:ToarmthesysteminStaymode,yourinstallermustenrollandconfigureatleastonezoneas
anInteriorStay/AwayoraDelayStay/Awaytypeofzone.
3.1.1 Stay arming on the integrated keypad
ToarmthesysteminStaymodeontheintegratedkeypad,completethefollowingsteps:
1. EnsureallprotecteddoorsandwindowsaresecureorbypassedandthattheReadyindic-
atorison.
2. Enteryouraccesscodeanddonotleavethepremises.Thesystemautomaticallyignores
bypassedzonesandinitiatestheexitdelaycountdown.
Tocancelthearmingsequence,enteryouraccesscode.
Whenexitdelayisactive,theArmedandReadyindicatorsturnonandthekeypadbeepsonceper
second.Whentheexitdelayexpires,thesystemisarmedandisindicatedbytheReadyindicator
turningoffandtheArmedindicatorstayingon.
Note:ForSIACP-01listedpanels,theStayarmingexitdelaywillbetwiceaslongastheAway
armingexitdelay.
IfyoursystemisinstalledinaccordancewithSIACP-01StandardforFalseAlarmReduction,the
securitysystemarmsintheStaymodeiftheexitdelaytimeexpiresandtherewasnoexit.
Ifyouarmthesystemremotelywithoutexitdelay,thesecuritysystemarmsinAwaymodeonly.
3.1.2 Stay arming on the wireless keypad
Staymodepartiallyactivatesyouralarmsystembyarmingallperimetersensorsandbypassingall
interiorsensors.

No-entryarmingarmsthesysteminStayorAwaymodeaftertheexitdelayexpiresandremoves
theentrydelay.

ToarmthesysteminAwaymodeontheintegratedkeypad,completethefollowingsteps:
1. EnsureallprotecteddoorsandwindowsaresecureorbypassedandthattheReadyindic-
atorison.
2. Enteryouraccesscode.Exitdelaybegins.Exitthepremisesthroughadoorprogrammed
asentry/exittype.
Tocancelthearmingsequence,enteryouraccesscode.
Whenexitdelayisactive,theArmedandReadyindicatorsturnonandthekeypadbeepsonceper
second.Dependingonyoursystemconfiguration,youhave____secondstoexitthepremises.Your
installercanprogramthistime.
Thekeypadbuzzeremitsarapidpulsatingrateduringthelast10secondsoftheexitdelaytoindic-
atethatthetimeisexpiring.
Whenexitdelayisactive,theArmedandReadyindicatorsturnonandthekeypadbeepsonceper
second.Whentheexitdelayexpires,thesystemisarmedandisindicatedbytheReadyindicator
turningoffandtheArmedindicatorstayingon.
Note:InAwayarmingmode,manuallybypassedzonesareloggedandcommunicatedtothemon-
itoringstation.
IfyoursystemisinstalledinaccordancewithSIACP-01StandardforFalseAlarmReduction,the
followingconditionapplies:Violationandrestoral,followedbyasecondviolationoftheentry/exit
zonebeforetheendoftheexitdelay,restartstheexitdelay.
3.4.2 Away arming on the wireless keypad
ToarmthesysteminAwaymode,completethefollowingsteps:
1. EnsureallprotecteddoorsandwindowsaresecureorbypassedandthattheReadyindic-
atorison.

3.5.1 Quick exit on the wireless keypad
TousetheQuickExitfunctiononthewirelesskeypad,completethefollowingsteps:
1. WhensystemisarmedandtheArmedindicatorison,pressandholdtheQuickExitkey
for2seconds..
2. Exitthepremisesbeforetheexitdelaytimerexpires.Afterexiting,thedelaytimeriscan-
celed.
3.6 Arming errors and exit faults
Yoursecuritysystemaudiblynotifiesyouofanyerrorswhenyouareattemptingtoarmthesystem
orexitthepremises.
3.6.1 Arming error
Anerrortone(longbeep)soundsifthesystemisunabletoarm.Armingerrorsoccurunderthefol-
lowingconditions:
l Thesystemisnotreadytoarm,i.e.sensorsareopen
l
Theaccesscodeisincorrect.
l
Atroubleconditionispresent.
Ensureallsensorsaresecureandthesystemisreadytoarm,thentryagain.
3.6.2 Audible exit fault
Toreducefalsealarms,theaudibleexitfaultnotifiesyouofanimproperexitwhenarmingthesys-
tem.Iftheentry/exitdoorisnotsecurelyclosedduringtheprogrammedexitdelay,thesystem
soundsthealarmtoindicateanimproperexit.
Tocorrectanexitfault,completethefollowingsteps:
1. Re-enterthepremises.
2. Enteryouraccesscodetodisarmthesystembeforetheentrydelaytimerexpires

3.8 Bypass zones
Usethezonebypassingfeaturewhenyouneedaccesstoaprotectedareawhilethesystemis
armed,orwhenazoneistemporarilyoutofservice,butyouneedtoarmthesystem.Bypassed
zonesarenotabletosoundanalarm.Asaresult,bypassingzonesreducesthelevelofsecurity.If
youarebypassingazonebecauseitisnotworking,callaservicetechnicianimmediatelytoresolve
theproblemandrestoreyoursystemtoproperworkingorder.
Ensurethatnozonesareunintentionallybypassedwhenarmingyoursystem.Zonescannotbe
bypassedoncethesystemisarmed.Bypassedzones,exceptfor24-hourzones,areautomatically
unbypassedeachtimethesystemisdisarmedandmustbebypassedagainbeforethenextarming,if
needed.

2. Ifyouopentheentry/exitdoor,acontinuoustoneindicatesthatentrydelayhasstarted.
Enteryouraccesscodewithin____secondstoavoidanalarmcondition.Yourinstaller
canprogramthistime.
Note:Whendisarmingthesystemduringentrydelay,thetoneissilencedwhenyouenterthefirst
digitofyouraccesscode.Ifyouraccesscodeisinvalid,thetonestartsagain.

Todisarmthesystemonthewirelesskeypad,completethefollowingsteps:

Masteruser.Youcannotdisableordeletethisuserfromthesystem.Thesystemalsosupportsan
additionaltwoduresscodes,oneforeachpartition.
Fromthetouchscreenkeypad,youcanprogramandconfigureusertypesforusers2through100.
Youcanassignausertooneorbothpartitionsandenableordisablesysteminteraction.
Useraccesscodesarefourdigitsandmustbeunique;thesystemdoesnotduplicatecodes.Ifyou
programaduplicatecode,thesystemerrorsandrejectsthecode.Ifyoutrytochangeanexisting
usercodetoaonethatisalreadyprogrammed,thesystemerrorsandrejectsthechange.

Thisisthesystemmastercode.Youcannotdisableordeletethiscode,butyou

Emergencykeysarestillactiveduringkeypadlockout.

7.2 Burglary verification
Thecontrolpanelincludescrosszoneandsequentialdetectionfeaturesthatrequireatripontwoor

7.3 Swinger shutdown
Thepanelhasaswingershutdownfeaturethatshutsdownazoneafteraprogrammablenumberof
trips.AllburglaryzonetypeshavethisfeatureenabledinCP-01installations.
ForSIACP-01classifiedinstallations,theswingershutdownfeatureisprogrammedsuchthatone
ortwotripsshutsdownthezone.Thezoneisrestoredafteramanualresetbyenteringtheaccess
codeatthetimeofdisarmingthealarmsystem,oritisresetautomaticallyafter8hourswithno
tripsonanyzones.
Note:Yourinstallermustbeenableandconfigurethisfeature.
7.4 Fire alarm verification
Firealarmverificationisanavailableoptionforfirezones.Ifconfigured,whentheconditionsfor
alarmverificationaremetthefirealarmsoundsandanalarmtransmissionissenttothemonitoring
station.
