1 D3300 / D3200 Series Firmware Upgrade
Instructions
Firmware upgrades can provide improved functionality to your DVR. When firmware up-
grades become available, you can download them for free from www.flirsecurity.com/pro.
To upgrade the system firmware:
1. In your web browser, visit www.flirsecurity.com/pro and search for the model number
of your DVR (check the label underneath your DVR for the model number). Down-
load the free firmware upgrade if one is available.
2. Insert a blank USB drive into your computer. Create a folder on the drive named
dvrupgrade.
3. Extract the firmware into a folder on your computer. The illustrations below are based
on the default Windows extractor utility — third-party extractor utilities may vary
slightly.
3.1. Right-click on the .ZIP file and click Extract All....

3.2. Click Extract to obtain the firmware file, which will end in “.sw”.
3.3. Copy the firmware file to the dvrupgrade folder you created. Ensure that this
is the only folder on the USB drive.
4. Insert the flash drive into one of the DVR’s USB ports.
5. Right-click to open the Menu Bar and click the Main Menu button (
).
6. Click Advanced.

7. Click Firmware Update.
8. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware. Do not remove the USB
flash drive or power off the DVR during the firmware update. Wait for the sys-
tem to reboot.
CAUTION
Do not disconnect the power or remove the USB flash drive during the firmware upgrade. The
DVR will reboot and show the split-screen view once the firmware upgrade is completed.
