Safety Instructions
This Laser Distance Measure is powered by 1x 9V ‘Square’ battery.
Do not dispose of batteries in your household waste.
Please contact your local authority for details on safe disposal.
Do not expose this product to damp or moist conditions.
• Never throw batteries into a re or expose to excessive heat sources.
• If batteries are swallowed, please seek immediate medical attention.
• Always ensure correct +/- battery polarity when installing batteries.
• Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
Equipment, which is marked with the WEEE logo
(as shown on the left), should not be thrown away with your household
waste. Contact your local authority waste disposal department, as they
will be able to provide details of the recycling options available in your
area.

General Product Care
• Keep the Laser Distance Measurer dry and clean
• Avoid shock, vibrations and extreme heat
• Check the battery before use
• Please remove the battery for long term storage
• DO NOT look directly or reect the beam;
this can cause eye injury up to 50ft (15m) away
• Interferes with vision up to 1050ft (320m) away.
Can be a distraction up to 2 miles (3.2km) away
• NEVER point any laser towards an aircraft or vehicle.
• Class 2 laser are considered safe for accidental eye exposure.
• THIS IS NOT A TOY. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN.

Setting Up
Installing The Battery
This product is supplied with 9V ‘Square’ battery. To t the battery please
remove it from the wrapper. Slide the battery cover down to reveal the battery
bay.
Insert the 9V ‘Squarebattery in to the correct terminal connections and place it
in the bay. Replace the battery cover by sliding it back into place until it clips in.
If the
symbol is displayed on the screen please change the batteries.
Turning On/O
To turn the Laser Distance Measure on, press the ‘READ’ button. The meter will
turn itself o after 30 seconds. The last dimensions recorded will be displayed
as long as there is adequate battery power.

Operating
Area Measuring
After the measurer has been turned on, Press the (Area) button. The ‘L
icon will be ashing on the screen. Place the base of the measure against the
surface you want to measure from and press the ‘READ’ button for 2 seconds.
A distance will show on the top line of numbers. Next ‘W’ icon will be ashing.
Place the measurer in the required orientation and press the ‘READ button
again for 2 seconds to measure the next distance. The top line will show the
distance just measured. The bottom gure now shown on the screen will show
the total area.
• ADDING ADDITIONAL AREA
You can add additional area results to an existing result. To do this make the
initial reading as previously mentioned and press the ‘MEM INPUT’ button to
store the result. Press the (Area) button and take another area
measurement. Once you have this result, press the ‘MEM RECALL’ button then
press the ‘+/=’ button to add the results together. If you require to add more
results press ‘MEM INPUT’ at the end of each result to carry the gure forward
and remeasure as previously described.

Volume Measuring
After the measurer has been turned on, Press the (Volume) button. The ‘L
icon will be ashing on the screen. Place the base of the measure against the
surface you want to measure from and press the ‘READ’ button for 2 seconds.
A distance will show on the top line of numbers. Next ‘W’ icon will be ashing.
Place the measurer in the required orientation and press the ‘READ button
again for 2 seconds to measure the next distance. The top line will show the
distance just measured. Finally ‘H’ icon will ash next. Place the measurer into
the next orientation and press ‘READ’ for 2 seconds. The top line will show the
distance and the bottom number will display the total volume.

Changing The Scale
The Laser Distance Measure can display either metric or imperial distances.
To change between them at anytime press the ‘ FT/M’ button. This will change
between the results into either scale.

Warranty
This product is warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and parts for a period of 36
months from the date of purchase. Defects that occur within this warranty period, under normal
use and care, will be repaired, replaced or refunded at our discretion, solely at our option with
no charge for parts and labour. The benets covered by this warranty are in addition to all rights
and remedies in respect of the product the consumer has under existing U.K. laws.
Proof of Purchase
This warranty is valid for the original purchase and is not transferable.
Please keep your purchase receipt as proof of purchase and as proof of the date of when the
purchase was made. The receipt must be presented with the warranty card when making a claim
under this warranty.
Service during the Warranty Period
Please ensure the product is properly packaged so as to ensure that no damage occurs in
transit. Also make sure that you have included a detailed explanation of the problem.
Extent of the Warranty
This warranty is limited to defects in workmanship or parts. All defective products or parts will
be repaired or replaced. This warranty does not extend to accessories.
Normal Wear and Tear
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of the product or parts.
Exclusions
• Any defect caused by accident, misuse, abuse, improper installation or operation,
lack of reasonable care, unauthorised modication, loss of parts, tampering or
attempted repair by a person not authorised by the distributor.
• Any product that has been damaged by lightning strike either directly or indirectly,
or on a mains or vehicle outlet power surge or liquid ingress.
• Any product that has not been installed, operated or maintained in accordance
with the manufacturer’s operating instructions provided with the product.
• Any product that has been used for purposes other than domestic use.
• The product if it is located outside of the U.K. and Ireland
• Any damage caused by improper power input or improper cable connection.
This warranty does not aect your statutory rights.
