Installation and Commissioning
Before beginning the installation process:
Warning: The device must only be installed by a competent person is someone who
has the necessary technical knowledge to inspect work equipment and plants that
require monitoring. This specialist knowledge can be gained through vocational
training, professional experience and recent professional activity.
Warning: The asset the device is to be installed on must be in a safe condition before
installation can begin.
Warning: Do not remove or replace the battery in a hazardous area.
Warning: Under certain extreme circumstances, the non-metallic parts incorporated
in the enclosure of this equipment may generate an ignition-capable level of
electrostatic discharge.
Warning: The sensor shall not be installed in a location where the external conditions
are conducive to the build-up of electrostatic charge on such surfaces.
Warning: Do not switch the device on or off or use any of the switches in the
hazardous area.
Warning: Do not remove or replace the battery in the hazardous area.
Warning: Installation in an explosive environment must be in accordance with the
appropriate local, national, and international standards, codes, and practices.
The equipment shall only be cleaned with a damp cloth.
The sensor shall be installed on an earthed metal frame.
Verify the connectivity and strength of the cellular or Wi-Fi network to ensure that the
sensor will operate at the machine asset location before turning on the device. For
