This product is designed to be opened either automatically - via infrared sensor, or by
using the manual button. It will automatically open when your hand moves past the
sensor and automatically close after your hand moves away.
When you press the manual button the bin will open. Press it again to automatically
close. Once the lid is closed the bin will revert back to automatic mode.
The product is composed of two parts: lid cover and main body. The sensing point is
located in front of the lid just above the light panel
Please tear off the label on the cover before using the bin.
FITTING THE BATTERIES
Open the cover of the battery case at the bottom of the dustbin and insert 4xAA
batteries (not included) and replace cover. Place the bin liner in the center of the bin
and fold the top of the bag over the edge of the bin. Replace the lid cover. Turn on the
power switch at the back of the bin. The red indicator light with be lit for 3 seconds
and then flashes once every 4 seconds to show that it is working and ready for use.
The batteries can last 3-6 months based on the bin lid opening and closing 20 times
a day. High alkaline batteries can last up to 2 years on standby only.
If the bin fails to operate normally, it may mean the batteries are running low, or
need replacing. Please avoid mixing brands, or old batteries. To prolong the use of
batteries, and life of the motor, avoid staying in sensing mode for an unduly long time.
SENSING BUTTON
To open the bin, hold your hand 15-20cm above the sensor and it will open
automatically within 0.5 of a second. Once your hand is removed from the sensor
area, it will close automatically within 5-6 seconds. Keeping your hand within the
