10mm Fire Station
B10-CS-009
Please read these instructions fully before starting construction.
PVA or equivalent glue will be required to stick sections together.
Sand paper can be used to gently clean any joints.
A sharp modelling knife will be required to remove sections from the sprue. Please use knives with due
care and remember to cut away from yourself at all times.
During the construction of this model, you may find it convenient to use pegs / elastic bands to hold
pieces in place while you allow glue to dry.
Note: We recommend painting the components of this model BEFORE construction. See below for
details.
Ground Floor
Take the front, back and side walls plus the four
triangular bracers from the sprue.
Glue two of the bracers to the back of each of the side
walls as shown above.
Then attach the front and back walls.
Take the door pieces.
Glue one behind each of the doorways.
We suggest you paint your model at this point
(see below)

Painting
It is much easier to paint your model before construction.
The two roof panels, the roof edge strips, four roller doors
and all the outer frames were all removed from their sprues
and sprayed white using a car undercoat aerosol spray.
Once dry, the roller doors had their bottom strip painted with
red and yellow diagonal stripes using model paints.
The walls were sprayed with a red-oxide car undercoat aerosol
spray.
Once dry, the window frames and side doors were picked out
using white model paint.
Connectors and bracers were left unpainted.
After construction any edges can be tidied up using model paint.
