POWER CONNECTION - A

System accommodates redundant power configurations. Includes dual terminals for

-48V and -48V Return. System operates with one or both supplies functioning.

CHASSIS GROUND - B

System provides a copper terminal block.

TIMING INPUT - C

System operates in local, loop, or external timing modes. For external timing modes,

the unit provides wire-wrap pins for separate DS1 (1.544 MHz) clocks.

BNC I/O MODULES - D

These modules (P/N 1200323L1) provide BNC connections for applications such as

DS3 and STS-1.

CHAMP CONNECTORS - E

The 64-pin Champ connectors are used to deliver tips and rings from the DSX option

modules. The four connectors across the top are for the transmit pairs and the

connectors across the bottom are for the receive pairs.

Caution: Champ connectors should only be connected to intra-building wiring and

circuits.

NETWORK MANAGEMENT - F

Provides support for future TL1 access.

ADMIN PORT - G

Provides support for VT100 or external modem access of the Total Access 4303

menus.

ETHERNET 10/100 BASET - H

Provide external inputs on contact closure or -48V input. Inputs include ACO,

Remote, Aux1, and Aux2. See the SCU Manual (61200330L2-1) for more details.

Caution: 10/100BASET connections should only be connected to intra-building

wiring and circuits.

ALARM RELAY OUTPUTS - I

Provide normally open or normally closed contacts for audible (x3), visual (x3), and

auxiliary (x2) alarms.

EXTERNAL INPUTS - J

Provide external inputs on contact closure or -48V input. Inputs include ACO,

chassis ground wire must be of equal or greater

ampacity than the wire connected to the

–48 VDC return.

The Total Access 4303 system is not intended or

designed for installation in a DC-I (isolated)

bonding and grounding system.
