Safety regulations
Installation, initial start-up, inspection,
maintenanc e and re pairs must be car-
ried out by a competent person (heat-
ing engineer/installation contractor).
Observe all current sa fety regulations
as defined by DIN, EN, DVGW, TRGI,
TRF, VDE or all locally applicable
standards.

the "Vitotec Technical Guide" folder.
Before working on the equipment/
heating sy stem, isolate the m ains
electrical supply (e.g. by removing a
separate mai ns f use or by means of a
mains electrical isolator) and safe-
guard against unauthorised reconnec-
tion.
Close the main gas shut-off valve and
safeguard against unauthorised
reopening .
Electric al assemblies p rovided on site
must be type-a pproved.
Work on gas equipment
This must only be carried out by an
approved gas fitter.
Observe all commissioning work spe-
cified for gas installations to TRGI or
TRF and all local regulations.

Connect the balanc ed fl ue pipe. Flue gas system installation
instructions.

separation.

Target group
These service instructions are exclu-
sively designed for qualified person-
nel.
Work on gas equ ipment must on ly b e
carried out by a registered gas fitter.
Only approved contractors may mod-
ify this equipment for countries other
than those designated o n the type
plate. That contractor will then
arrange for the relevant approval in
that country.
Electric al work must on ly be carrie d
out by a qualified electrician.
The system must be commissioned by
the system installer or a qualified per-
son authorised by the installer.

Observe the following during service
work:

all legal instructions regarding the
prevention of accidents,

the TRGI, TRF and special regula-
tions, e.g. those of the BDH,
a ÖVGW-TR Gas, ÖVGW-TRF,
c SVGW,
&
all legal instructio ns re garding
environmental protection,
&
the Code of P ractice by rel evant
trade assoc iations and all local reg-
ulations.
If you notice a smell of gas

the gas meter.

Notify your he ating contrac-

If you smell flue gas
Danger
Flue gas may lead to life-threa-
tening po isoning.
&
Shut down the heating sys-
tem.
&
Ventilate the boiler room.
&
Close all doors leading to liv-
ing areas.
Repair work
It is not permitted to carry out repairs
on parts that fulfil a safety function.
Use only ori ginal Viessmann spare
parts, or equivalent parts that have
been appr oved by Viessman n.
Service work on the heating system
&
Isolate the sy stem from mains sup -
ply and check that it is no longer
"live", e.g . by re moving a separat e
fuse or by means of a mains electri-
cal isolator.
&
Safeguard the system against
unauthorised reconnection.
&
When usin g g as as fuel, also c lose
the main gas shut-off valve and
safeguard against unauthorised
reopening.

the installation of non-
approved spare parts and
unauthor ised conver sion may
lead to damage to the heating
system, which may affect their
function and limi t our wa rranty.
