LG-Ericsson LDK-60

The LG-Ericsson LDK-60 is a feature-rich business phone system that offers a wide range of capabilities to help you manage your communications needs. With the LDK-60, you can:

Recording Greetings for Auto Attendant (AA)
1. From the main set press Trans/Pgm and then “06”.
2. Enter system greeting number (001-100).
3. Follow voice prompts.
4. Press # to begin recording and press “Hold/Save” when you’re done.
Notes:
The CST should inform you what each system greeting number has been assigned for. For example,
the day greeting might be set up as 001 and the night greeting might be set as 002.
It is a good idea to leave a couple seconds of “dead air” at the end of the greetings. This will give the
caller an extra few seconds to make their selection from the AA before the call is routed to the
attendant.

Putting System into Night Service
1. From the main set, press Dnd/Fwd, then “2” and then “Hold/Save”.
2. When you want to put the system back into day service, repeat the same steps except enter
“1” in place of “2”.
Notes:
The system can also be programmed to change service types automatically through a weekly
timetable. This should be programmed by the CST’s.
There are six different types of service modes:
1: Day
2: Night
3: On Demand
4: Weekend
5: Auto Ring
6: Lunch
If a weekly timetable is used the set must be set for #5 Auto Ring Mode.
Generally 3, 4 and 6 will only be used in special circumstances.

Call Park
To park a call:
1. Press the [Trans/Pgm] button
2. Dial the Park location 601-610
3. Replace the handset or go on-hook
4. Page the desired user to retrieve the call if applicable
OR
1. Press “Park” while on a live call
2. Verify parking location before announcing the waiting call
CST will need to program a “call parking location” key for this to work
Retrieve the parked call from a system phone
1. Lift the Handset or press the Speaker button
2. Dial the Park location to retrieve the call

Call Log
Press the Call Log button and dial the desired log:
1: Received
2: Dialed
3: Lost
• Use the Volume Up/Down buttons to scroll through the list
• To call a displayed number, press the OK soft key
To Program a Call Log key on the set:
1. Press the [Trans/Pgm] button.
2. Press the Flexible button to be assigned.
3. Press the [Trans/Pgm] button.
4. Dial 5 7, the Call Log code.
5. Press the [Hold/Save] button.

Conference
1. When on a call press the “conference button”. You will hear dial tone.
2. Dial the second telephone number.
3. While the phone is ringing, or after the second call is established press the “conference” key
twice. You can continue to add up to 15 parties to the conference if you like
Notes:
The CST must assign a conference key to the set.
The conference key will flash while the second call is being established and it will go solid red when
the second party is connected to the conference.
The system also allows you to set up conference rooms (maximum 9). All calls must be transferred to
the conference room from the attendant, or via a DID station.

Programming Speed Dial (Personal and System)
1. Press Trans/Pgm and then “Speed”.
2. Enter the bin # (001 - 100) for personal speed dial numbers or (2000 - 2499) for system
speed dial numbers.
3. Enter the telephone number and press “Hold/Save”.
4. Enter the name and press “Hold/Save” .
5. See tables on following slide for character entry.

To program a speed dial number to a DSS key on a 7224 Set:
1. While on hook (set hung up), press Trans/Pgm.
2. Press the Flex Button (DSS Key) that you want to program or change.
3. Press the far left button below the display (Up Arrow) below the words in the display “ Tel
Num”.
4. Enter the telephone number that you want as a speed dial.
5. Press Hold/Save.
6. Enter the name.
7. Press Hold/Save.

To program a speed dial number to a DSS key on a 7208 Set:
While on hook (set hung up):
1. Press Trans/Pgm.
2. Press Speed.
3. Choose Station Speed Bin # (Press (000-099)).
4. Enter Phone #.
5. Press Hold/Save.
6. Enter Name.
7. Press Hold/Save.
To assign the Speed Bin to the DSS button:
1. Press Trans/Pgm.
2. Press a DSS Button.
3. Press Speed
4. Enter the Station Speed Bin # (000-099).
5. Press Hold/Save.

Changing Ring Tones
1. Press the Trans/Pgm key and then “1”.
2. Press “8” for intercom ring or “9” for CO ring type.
3. Enter ring type (01-15).
4. Once you have the ring you want press the Hold/Save key.

Call Transfer
1. Press the Trans/Pgm button while on a live call
2. Enter the extension number you are transferring to (or press a pre-programmed DSS key for
the extension)
3. Hang the phone up.
If you want to announce the transfer to the extension first just stay on the line, the call will not
transfer until the transferring party hangs up.
To transfer directly to voicemail:
1. While on a live call, press “Trans/Pgm”.
2. Press “Callback”.
3. Enter extension number (e.g. 222).
4. Hang up the receiver.

Forwarding Calls
You can forward calls On-Net (internally) or Off-Net (externally). Internally, calls can be forwarded to
another station, a hunt group or to the user‟s mailbox.
To Call Forward a set On-Net (Internally):
1. Lift the handset or press the Speaker button.
2. Press the [Dnd/Fwd] button or dial the Forward code „5 5 4‟.
3. Dial the Call Forward type code (1-4):
(1) Unconditional, all calls forward immediately
(2) (2) Busy, calls forward if the station is busy
(3) (3) No answer, calls forward if not answered in the Call Forward No-Answer time
(4) (4) Busy/No-answer, calls forward if busy or not answered after Call Forward No
answer time
4. Dial the station or Group number, or „# ‟ for the VMIB

Forwarding Calls
To forward calls Off-Net (Externally)
1. Lift the handset or press the Speaker button.
2. Press the [Dnd/Fwd] button or dial the Forward code „5 5 4‟.
3. Dial the Call Forward type code 5 - 6 and 8 9:
(5) Unconditional, all calls forward immediately to a Speed Dial number
(6) No answer, calls forward if not answered in the Call Forward No-Answer time to a
Speed Dial number
(8) Unconditional, all calls forward immediately to a user dialed telephone number, which
is temporarily stored as the last available Speed bin
(9) No-answer, calls forward if not answered after Call Forward No-answer time to a user
dialed telephone number, which is temporarily stored as the last available Speed bin
4. Dial the Speed Dial bin or telephone number
Notes: If you are forwarding an individual station Off-Net using option #5 or 6, you must program that
telephone number into the caller’s personal speed dial list first.
If you are providing a selection through the CCR tree to forward Off-Net you must first program that
number into the system speed dial list.
Any stations wanting to forward Off-Net must “enable” Off-Net Forwarding in Station Attributes I (PGM
111)

Transferring Calls Off-Net
1. While on a live call, press “Trans/Pgm”.
2. Dial “9” and then the telephone number or press the pre-programmed DSS key.
3. Hang up to transfer the call or stay on the line to announce the call before the transfer.

Paging
How the user is able to make pages is dependent on how the CST set the system up. For instance, if
no external paging equipment is present (Amp, speakers, etc) then external paging will not operate.
Also, any of the paging options can be programmed to a DSS key by the CST.
The following options are based on the assumption no paging keys have been set up.

To initiate a Page announcement
1. Lift the handset. You cannot page using the Speaker button in order to prevent feedback. If
you attempt, the LCD display will read “Lift Handset”
2. Dial the desired Page Zone code
3. After the Page Warning tone, if assigned, make the desired announcement

To page to one set:
1. Dial the extension number or press the appropriate DSS key
2. While the set is ringing press the “#” key
This will force the called party into hands-free answerback mode; they can then have a hands-free
conversation with the calling party.

Setting Time and Date
1. Press the [Trans/Pgm] button.
2. Dial 041 (Change Date / Time Code)
3. Enter the date as MMDDYY (MM: month, DD: Day, YY: year)
4. Press the [Hold/Save]
5. Enter the time in 24 hour format (4:30 PM = 1630)
6. Press the [Hold/Save]
Note:
You will not see the entries while inputting them. Only after you finish will you see the display change
to the correct time and date.
To select a different Date/Time format:
1. Press the [Trans/Pgm] button.
2. Dial 044 (Date / Time Format Code) to toggle the formats between DDMMYY and MMDDYY.

Installing a Headset
On a 7224 set:
1. Press Menu (Up arrow of scroll wheel).
2. Press 2 for Advanced Program.
3. Press 5 for Ear-Mic Headset.
4. Press the middle soft key below the word “Next” on the LCD screen.
5. Press OK (far right soft key below LCD or the center of the scroll wheel).
On a 7208 set:
1. Press” Trans/Pgm”.
2. Press 1 (Ring).
3. Press 7 (Ear-Mic Headset).
4. Press 1 (Ear-Mic Headset Mode) (1:On/0:Off).
5. Press “Hold/Save”.
