1 Generalization

. Intended use

• To control ingress and egress of door in a fluid

fashion as to ensure the maximum lifespan of

the door itself.

• Door Saver Arms are always applied on the

push side of the door.

Follow these instructions in addition to avoid

damage of person, property and product.

WARNING

• Ensure the door operates efficiently prior

to installation.

• Sex nuts are required for attachment of

components to unreinforced doors and

to wood or plastic faced composite type

fire doors, unless an alternate method is

identified in the individual door

manufacturer's listings.

to rotate up or down, until desired hold open

capacity is met.

• Activate: Thumb turn detent will sit proud of

connecting arm.

• Engageholdopen: Swing door open until thumb

turn detent locks over ball on plate.

• Disengageholdopen: Pull door to unlock thumb

turn detent from ball on plate.

• Make any small adjustments to control

valves after installation and verification

of proper spring power.

• Use the .mm hex key provided.

• Closers are factory pre-set to close

expose the head (will cause a leak).

• Valves are not to be completely closed

(not to be used as a dead stop).

• Only the back-check position valve is to

be closed to properly locate the back-

1A Flat head  Attach spring cushion to arm assembly; pay attention to handing. /" hex key

2Flat head * Fasten arm assembly securely to the frame. # Phillips

3Flat head * Match spacer block to jamb stop height. # Phillips

* Fasten closer body securely to the door. # Phillips

5Socket head  Insert fastener in main arm counter bored hole. Place an adjustable wrench

on exposed male square and rotate it towards hinge in order to insert the

male square inside the square hole. Only then, open the door far enough to

access fastener to tighten securely.

6Verify closer spring power and adjust if necessary. (Fig. )

7Make any small control valve adjustments if necessary. (Fig. ) .mm hex key

8Place .mm hex wrench inside cover for future maintenance by using the

plastic tab hook or masking tape for metal.

9Pan head  Secure closer controls by attaching full cover. # Phillips
