This User’s Manual and Help System is provided to enable users to quickly master the operation and the
configuration of the ControlSwitch business services and advanced policies.

Provisioning Guidelines 3.
3.1 Tariff Service Provisioning
The following lists the steps needed for tariff service provisioning:
1. Create a Charge Band
2. Create a Time Band
3. Create a Charge Plan
4. Configure a Tariff Plan
5. Configure a Tariff Policy
6. Configure Rules
7. Configure Treatment (select the Charge Band option, and a provisioned charge band from the
list).
3.2 Account Code Configuration Steps
Follow the below steps for the account code service configuration:
1. Set the business model by creating:

Account/pass codes per group.
2. Set digit collection rule for the collect call, see Digit Rules Configuration, but without assigning
the rule to a specific trunk group.
3. Configure the following announcements, according to the guidelines in ControlSwitch
Advanced Elements and Services User’s Manual, section Announcements Configuration:
Initial play & collect account code (with/without PIN )
Retry play & collect account code (with/without PIN)
Reject play announcement
4. Configure the account codes authorization plan group, plan, policy, rule, and treatment to
verify the digits received from the caller, and for routing the call.
5. Configure the Service Trigger, as following: (see ControlSwitch Policies and Routing User's
Manual, section Service Trigger).
Create plan group (set the Collect Across Policies parameter to Yes).
Create a plan (set the Plan Type to Off Hook Delay).
Create a policy, and rule.
Create a treatment
3.3 Security PIN Configuration Steps
Follow the below steps for the security PIN service configuration:
1. Set the business model by creating:

Toll Free/Translation Number/Authorization PIN per group.
2. Set digit collection rule for the collect call, see Digit Rules Configuration, but without assigning
the rule to a specific trunk group.
3. Configure the following announcements, according to the guidelines in ControlSwitch
Advanced Elements and Services User’s Manual, section Announcements Configuration:

4. Configure the security PIN authorization plan group, plan, policy, rule, and treatment to verify
the digits received from the caller, and for routing the call.
5. Configure the Service Trigger, as following: (see ControlSwitch Policies and Routing User's
Manual, section Service Trigger).
Create plan group (set the Collect Across Policies parameter to Yes).
Create a plan (set the Plan Type to Off Hook Delay).
Create a policy, and rule.
Create a treatment, select Security PIN treatment type (see ControlSwitch Policies and
Routing User's Manual, section Security PIN).
6. Select the pre-configured security authorization plan to the trunk-group (see ControlSwitch
Elements and Resources User’s Manual, section Services).
3.4 Personal Toll Configuration Steps
Follow the below steps for the personal toll service configuration:
1. Create the personal toll numbers.
2. Create the personal toll PINs.
3. Set digit collection rule for the collect call, see Digit Rules Configuration, but without assigning
the rule to a specific trunk group.
4. Configure the following announcements, according to the guidelines in ControlSwitch
Advanced Elements and Services User’s Manual, section Announcements Configuration:
Initial play & collect account code (with/without PIN )

Reject play announcement
5. Configure the personal toll number authorization plan group, plan, policy, rule, and treatment
to verify the digits received from the caller, and for routing the call.
6. Configure the Service Trigger, as following: (see ControlSwitch Policies and Routing User's
Manual, section Service Trigger).
Create plan group (set the Collect Across Policies parameter to Yes).
Create a plan (set the Plan Type to Off Hook Delay.

3.5 Forced Rerouting Configuration Steps
For provisioning the forced rerouting feature, follow the below steps:
1. In the Application Parameters (see ControlSwitch Administration User's Manual, section
Application Parameters), set the Value of Enable CPN/DN forced rerouting option (Y/N) in the
Routing category to Y.
2. Create the translation list.
3. For the trunk group-based option, enable the Forced CPN Routing/Forced DN Routing
parameter in Routing Parameters in the Trunk Group configuration window; see
ControlSwitch Elements and Resources User’s Manual section Routing.
3.6 Number Translation Configuration Steps
For provisioning the number translation feature, follow the below steps:
1. Create a new number translation.

3.7 Matrix Table Configuration Steps
For provisioning the matrix table, follow the below steps:
1. Create global variable for Column Set (optional).
2. Create global variable for Data Parameter (optional).
3. Create global variable for Returned Parameter.
For all the above setting, check the Based on a Parameter, as the Data Type, and select Egress
Route List, using the drop-down window.
4. Create a Route List (see ControlSwitch Policies and Routing User's Manual, section Creating a
Route List), set the Route List Type parameter to TDM/IP, and add the selected trunk groups
to the list.
5. Create a matrix table.
6. Create the first dimension of the matrix table.
7. Create the column set of the matrix table.
8. Create the Data of the matrix table.
9. Validate the partition.
10. Activate the partition.
11. Activate the matrix table.
12. Create a rule; choose Using Parameter, Set Action to Set Variables Using Matrix Table Lookup,
and the Value to the matrix table, created in step 1, see ControlSwitch Policies and Routing
User’s Manual, chapter Routing, section Creating a Rule Node.
13. The route treatment is applied based on the configured translation table.
14. Set the treatment: Set the Treatment Type to Route, Egress Type to Global Variable, and
from the Items to Select column, select the returned parameter created in step 3 above.

Time Band 4.
Time Band is a configured set of times and dates, defining a particular period of time. This information is
used in Charge Band, for Tariff service implementation.
This window allows the user to set the Time Band parameters.

4.1 Creating a Time Band
To create a time band:
1. Select Policies Routing Configuration Time Band.
2. Click on the Create button, and enter the following parameters, in the Start and End columns.

Name. The time band's unique name.

Note:
The time-bands do not exceed the 24 hours (start from 00:00 hours of a day and end at 23:59 within the same day). The time
band resolutions should be hours:minutes, without seconds. The minutes of the start time of a time band should be at 00, 15,
45 minute boundaries. For example: 00:00 - 08:29, 08:30 - 15:59, 16:00 - 19:14, 19:15 - 22:44 and 22:45 - 23:59.
Status. Presents the current operation's status (read only).
3. Click OK to save the entered values.
4. Click on the Refresh button to see the newly created time band in the list.
4.2 Modifying Time Band Parameters
To modify time band parameters:
1. Select Policies → Routing Configuration → Time Band.
2. Select the time band you want to modify.
3. Click on the Modify button.
4. Enter the parameters you want to modify, as depicted below.

Number Translation 5.
Number Translation window enables the user to define translation capabilities for the phone numbers
during the routing process. Number translation can be applied in one of the following options:
Many to one. In this option many original numbers are translated to one number.
One to one. In this option each original number is translated to a specific number.
The following table details the displayed parameters.
