The Gateway Ref. 1082/50 is used to interface the 2GO! and the
Digivoice system to make high-performance complex video door
phone systems (over 8000 users). Up to 255 Gateways can be used,
corresponding to 255 different buildings in the same compound.
All the potentials and extensions of the Digivoice system can be
exploited on street side with a high number of inputs and up to 5
switchboards using 9 common wires. The building risers require 2 non
polarised wires and exploit the features and performance of the 2GO!
system, which include intercom service between apartment stations and
the possibility of using the video door phone answering machine service
Ref. 1082/88, without additional wires.
As for the video signal, an extended differential (DE) video system
consisting of camera video signal converters (Ref. 1742/13A),
video distributors (Ref. 1795/40) and video signal regenerators
(Ref. 1795/250) is used on the Digivoice spine.

INSTALLATION
The Gateways are installed between the Digivoice spine and the 2GO!
risers on the base of each riser. Refer to 2GO! system installation
instructions contained in the system manual provided with the
Ref. 1082/20 power unit for wiring on 2GO! side. Refer to the technical
system manual for Digivoice wiring.
Up to 255 Gateways can be installed. One 2GO! riser can be connected
to each Gateway. The Gateway in the 2GO! system takes the place
of the main door unit with ID=1, while in the Digivoice system it is
seen as a secondary calling system and can assume as column code
one of 255 values set using the 8 dip switches accessible with the
electrical panel is open. No supplementary power units are needed
for the Gateway.

TC
Brie y, the system con guration is as follows.
On the 2GO! riser:
Up to 32 apartment stations (brackets, special decoders, 4+N
adapters, door phones).
Up to 2 door units.
1 power unit.
1 centralised video door phone answering machine (in this case, the
total number of door units or apartment units must be decreased
by 1).
On Digivoice side:
The Gateway is included in the count of the up to 400 devices which
can be connected to a Digivoice system.
Manages one only audio line and one only extended differential
video line (DE).
Observe the following rules:
1. Maximum number of devices on the 2GO! spine
The Gateway on each spine where it is installed must be included
in the total count of 2GO! door units. Therefore, on each 2GO!
riser, there can be two units in total (video door units Ref. 1082/72
and/or door phone units Ref. 1082/7).
2. Type of usable wires and distances
The rules shown in the system manual provided with the 1082/20
power unit apply for connecting the Gateway to the 2GO! system
(LINE terminals). Refer to section 1 for connecting the Gateway to

3. Use of line terminals
The Gateway works on 2GO! side as a main door unit. Therefore,
if connected directly to the 2GO! power unit, the terminal must be
ON.
The DE video signal distributor Ref. 1795/40 does not require line
terminals.
4. Installation
The Gateway can be installed in an electrical panel on DIN bar
(10 modules) or wall-mounted using bolts (not provided). Terminal
boards, con guration dip switches and other settings can be
accessed when the electrical panel is open.
CONFIGURATION
DIGIVOICE COLUMN CODE DEFINITION FOR
GATEWAY
The rst step consists in assigning to the Gateway one of 255
possible column codes. The column code is needed to address
the 2GO! column devices using unique codes in the system. There
cannot be two Gateways with the same column code. Refer to the
table shown in the product manual for correspondence between dip
switches and code.

DOOR UNIT CONFIGURATION ON 2GO! SIDE
Any video door phone units Ref. 1082/72 or door phone units
Ref. 1082/7 connected to the 2GO! risers must be con gured as
secondary units because the Gateways works as a main video door
phone unit.
SYSTEM BUSY TIME
The calling modules and the Digivoice switchboards MUST BE
con gured with a busy time of 40s.
DIGIVOICE AUDIO LINES
Select only one voice line on all Digivoice devices.
OPERATING MODE
In general, all basic functions of the 2GO! and Digivoice systems are
available. Additional functions and differences are illustrated below.
CALLS
Only one call at a time is possible on Digivoice side. After the 40s
busy time, all communications (including ones between a 2GO!
secondary unit and an apartment stations) can be interrupted by a
call in the concerned column.
A sandglass will appear on the apartment station monitor in the
event of a call from a Digivoice door phone unit or Digivoice
switchboard without additional camera.
CALLS TO SWITCHBOARD
There are two options, according to whether the apartment station
column making the call is busy or not.
Column is not engaged by a communication to an apartment station
or is engaged in a communication to a door unit for longer than 30s.
The apartment station monitor making the call will light up and the
sandglass will appear. Column communications where applicable
are interrupted.
If the switchboard operator does not reply after 20 seconds, the
monitor will switch to standby and the call will be stored. Hang up
and wait for the switchboard operator to call back.
If the switchboard operator replies, the sandglass will remain on the
monitor unless the switchboard has a camera (in which case the
camera image will appear).
The column is engaged by a communication to a door unit for
less than 30s: the apartment station monitor will not light up. The
request will be directed to the switchboard where it is stored. The
communication in progress is not interrupted. Hang up and wait for
the switchboard operator to call back.
DIGIVOICE MAIN DOOR UNIT NUMBER 980 AUTO
POWER-ON
There are two options according to whether the door unit is busy or
not.
Door unit idle. The apartment station monitor making the call will
light up and the door unit camera image will appear.
Door unit engaged in a communication. The apartment station
monitor will light up and the sandglass will appear. The monitor will
go out after a few seconds. The communication in progress will be
continued. Try again later.
SURVEILLANCE CAMERA AUTO-ON FUNCTION
Up to 4 surveillance cameras can be connected to the main calling
station number 980. After auto power-on of station 980, press to
cyclically select the surveillance cameras.
SPECIAL DECODER 1038/80 CONTROL
The 2GO! riser users can control the appropriate programmed
Digivoice special decoders using the following buttons:
Switchboard call button.
Staircase lights button (the staircase light command is converted
into a Digivoice special code).
INTERCOM FUNCTION
The intercom function is possible within the 2GO! riser only and not
between users on different risers.
DEFAULT CONFIGURATION
The default settings of the Gateway are:
Column code: 1
Main camera distance dip switch: 0-200m
TROUBLESHOOTING
The yellow LED on the Gateway has a similar function to that of the
2GO! apartment station and indicates anomalies to the 2GO! spine.
Yellow LED on: system fault on 2GO! side. Check the LEDs of all other
2GO! devices in the spine and cut off, if necessary.
The red LED on the Gateway is used for troubleshooting on Digivoice
side.
Red LED on: no Gateway data connection on Digivoice side.
Red LED one blink: Digivoice data transmission or reception.

ADAPTER DEVICE FOR TV CAMERA
Ref. 1742/13A
The device is used in Digivoice video door phone systems interfacing
with Gateway Ref. 1082/50.
The adapter must be combined to the following Sinthesi cameras:
Ref. 1745/70 for black and white systems.
Ref. 1745/40 for colour systems.
The adapter transforms the composite video signal from the camera
into two differential video signals (A and B).
ADAPTER INSTALLATION
1. Insert the adapter device to the side of the TV camera unit and
secure it with the screw provided (Fig. 1).
2. Remove connector A from the TV camera module (Fig. 2).
3. Insert connector A in the coupling of the device and connector B
in the coupling of the TV camera (Fig. 3).
4. Position the conductors inside the groove of the device.

The regenerator receives signals Ai and Bi (differential video input) to
be compensated and outputs signals Ao and Bo (differential video
output) which are compensated and adapted to the distance of the
wires leading to Gateway interface.
