Chapter 1 Acvaon and Login
1.1 Network Connecon
Please refer to Network Interface for network connecon requirements.
1.2 Tools Preparaon
SADP Soware.
Xshell.
Java Environment (JER 1.8 or above version).
1.3 PC Requirements
You can get access to the server with Web browser.
The requirements for your PC are shown as below.
Operang system: Microso Windows 7, Microso Windows 8.
CPU: Intel
Penum IV 3.0 GHz or above.
Memory: 1G or larger.
Resoluon: 1024 × 768 or higher.
Web browser: Internet Explorer 8 to 11.

Acvaon
The server is available only aer being acvated.
1.4.1
Acvate via SADP Soware
Before You Start
Obtain and install SADP soware.
Your PC should be in the same subnet with the device.
Steps
1. Run the SADP soware.
Note
The IP address is set as 192.168.1.64 by default.
The server will search all online devices in the same subnet. Detailed informaon such as device
type, IP address,
acvaon status and device serial number.

2. Select the desired device, set your password in
Acvate Device and click Acvate.

Note
We highly recommend you create a strong password of your own choosing (using a minimum
of 8 characters, including upper case leers, lower case leers, numbers, and special
characters) in order to increase the security of your product.
We recommend you reset your password regularly, especially in the high security system,
reseng the password monthly or weekly can beer protect your product.
The Acvaon Status will change to be Acvated aer the device is acvated.
3. Modify network parameters of the device.
1) Select an acvated device, and enter informaon such as IP Address, Subnet Mask and
Gateway in the Modify Network Parameter.
2) Enter your password and click modify.
The prompt
informaon of "Network parameters modied." indicates that those sengs will
take
eects.
1.4.2
Acvate via Web Browser
The device can be acvated via Web browser. The default IP address is 192.168.1.64.
Before You Start
Make sure your PC connects to the Internet.
Modify the IP address of your PC to make sure the PC and the server are in the same subnet.
Steps
1. Double click the IE browser and enter the default IP address (192.168.1.64) of the server.
2. Press Enter to enter the
acvaon interface.

Note
The password of root user will be changed when the acvaon password is set. As a result, the
password of root user will be the same as that of admin user.
3. Enter password and conrm.
4. Click OK.
1.5 Login
You can get access to the server with web browser.
Note
You shall acknowledge that the use of the product with Internet access might be under network
security risks. For avoidance of any network aacks and informaon leakage, please strengthen
your own protecon. If the product does not work properly, please contact with your dealer or the
nearest service center.
Steps
1. Open web browser, enter the IP address of the server and then press Enter.

2. Enter User Name (admin) and Password.

Note
If the server is inaccessible, go to Internet
Opons → Advancement , check Enable TLS1.1
and Enable TLS1.2.
The specic interface depends on the product.
Aer admin user logs in, the server will jump to the homepage where you can view informaon
such as Alarm Stascs, Camera Stascs, and Capture Stascs.

Chapter 2 Conguraon Wizard
2.1 Modify Device IP
Skip this part if you have modied IP address via SADP soware.
Refer to Modify Node IP to modify device IP by logging in operang system.
Note
Please restart the device aer modifying the IP address of your device.
2.2 Deploy Micro Video Cloud
Micro video cloud is used to store human face pictures and uploaded videos.
2.2.1 Format Storage Volume
Steps
1. Enter
hps://192.168.0.1:5119 in IE browser, press Enter and click Connue to view....
Note
Here we take the IP address of the device (192.168.0.1) as an example. You should enter your IP
address according to actual condions.
2. When logging in for the rst me, set the same password in Login Password and Conrm
Password, and click Create.

3. Enter admin as User Name and the password set as Password, and click Login.

4. Go to Device → Storage Volume , select storage volume, and click Format Storage Volume.

5. Keep parameters as default values, and click OK.

It takes a while to complete
formang, please wait.
If there are mulple storage volumes need to be formaed, please repeat the same steps as
shown above.
2.2.2 Create Micro Video Cloud Cluster
Note
The nodes that create micro video cloud cluster should be the same with that of creang analysis
cluster. Otherwise, excepon may occur.
Steps
1. Input hps://192.168.0.1:5120 in IE browser and press Enter to enter HikCStor Management
System.
Note
Here we take the IP address of the device (192.168.0.1) as an example. You should enter your IP
address according to actual condions.
2. When logging in for the rst me, set the same password in Login Password and Conrm
Password, and click Create.

4. Click Cluster Deployment.

1 or 2 nodes can create a standalone micro video cloud and 3 to 8 nodes can create a cluster
micro video cloud.
2.2.3 Set Storage Parameter
Steps
Note
The specic parameter values lled in the relevant interfaces below are for reference only. You
need to input relevant parameter values according to actual condion.
1. Go to 5119 Interface.
2. Go to System → Storage
Conguraon .
3. Enter the virtual IP of cluster micro video cloud in CVM IP (for standalone micro video cloud,
input node IP).
4. Enter the value that you have set when
creang micro video cloud. Here we take light-cloud as
an example.
5. Select Memory Accelerate as Accelerate Type if the node memory is 128 GB, and select SSD
Accelerate as Accelerate Type if the node memory is 256 GB.

6. Aer seng parameters, click Set CVS Parameters to complete.
2.2.4 Add Storage Node to Domain
Steps
1. Go to 5120 interface.
2. Go to Virtualizing → Domain Management , and click Create.

4. Check created domain, and click Add CVS.

2.2.5 Create
Stac Pool
Stac pool is used to storage human face picture of list library.
Before You Start
Storage Volume has been
formaed.
Note
The specic parameter values lled in the relevant interfaces below are for reference only. You
need to enter relevant parameter values according to actual condion.
Steps
1. Go to Virtualizing → Resource Pool Management .
2. Click Create, and set parameters in the popup dialog box, as shown below.

Domain ID Select the domain that you created.
User Name Select admin.
User Permission Select Read/ Write.
Resource Pool Name Enter stac-pool.
Resource Pool Type Select Picture.
Accelerate Picture Select Accelerate.
Storage Mode Select Dispersed.
Overwrite Mode Select Not.
Resource Pool Capacity Enter 300.
Note
It is recommended to set the value as 300, but you can also set
it according to actual needs.

2.2.6 Create Video Pool
Video pool is used to storage video les that are manually uploaded.
Steps
1. Go to Virtualizing → Resource Pool Management .
2. Click Create, and set parameters in the popup dialog box, as shown below.

User Name Select admin.
User Permission Select Read/ Write.
Resource Pool Name Enter video-pool.

2.2.7 Create Dynamic Pool
Dynamic pool is used to storage the human face pictures that are captured by the camera.
Steps
1. Go to Virtualizing → Resource Pool Management .
2. Click Create, and set parameters in the popup dialog box, as shown below.
