Greenlee 910FS Training Ver 1.1 is a core alignment fusion splicer capable of splicing single fiber 250 and 900u fibers in nine seconds. It has a 5.7” flip over LCD and supports up to six languages simultaneously. The electrodes are user replaceable and loaner units are available. It uses splice on connectors (SOCs) and the same adapter for SC and LC connectors. The fusion splicer kit includes an extra set of electrodes, ruggedized carry case, RS232 and USB cables, 120/240VAC charger/power supply, tweezers, and a cooling tray.

Operation
1.Select MENU key on keypad.
2.Select item #1 using the green arrow key.

3. Select type of splice (Auto,
SM, DS or NZ) from splice
mode menu.
4. Insert the fiber adapters
with the cleaved fiber into
each chuck (make sure to
install a splice protector
before cleaving).

5. Close dust cover.
6. Initiate splice with
the SET key.
7. Open dust cover
when splice is
completed.
Note: The loss
value is only an
approximation.

8. When splice is complete
carefully remove both
fibers from the fiber
adapters, center the
protective tube over the
splice. Use a finger to
hold the fiber in each
adapter when opening
the fiber clamp.

9. Place the protective splice tube in the heater for
shrinking; use the HEAT key to start the heater.
10.Remove splice and set the splice into the cooling
tray on the back of the splicer.
