POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the othe
r.) As a safety feature,
this plug fits in a polarized outlet only one wa
y. If the plug does not fit into the outlet,
reverse the plug and try again. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to defeat this safety feature.
ELECTRICAL CORD
The cord of this appliance was selected to reduce the possibility of tan
gling in or tripping
over a longer cord. If more length is needed, use an extension cord ra
ted no less than 15
amperes.
When using an extension cord, do not let it drape over the working area or dangle
where someone could accidentally trip over it. Handle cord carefully
for longer life; avoid
jerking or straining it at outlet and appliance connections.

Be sure to shut off electric supply at main switch
or circuit breaker before installation.

tant safeguards and instructions on this manual

through the grille guard when fan is in opera

2. Disconnect the fan when moving from one
location to anothe

Disconnect the fan when removing guards for
cleaning.
4. Be sure fan is on a stable, flat surface when in
operation.

Do not use fan on a window. Rain and mois-
ture causes electrical hazards.

To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock,
do not use this fan with any solid-state speed
control device. (ex. clapper)

POWER CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appli-
ance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into
the power outlet.
3.
To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and
remove it from the power outlet.

This product employs overload protection
(fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload
or short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows,
unplug the product from the outlet. Replace
the fuse (see How
To Replace Fuse for
instructions) following the product markings
for proper fuse rating. Check the product. If
replacement fuse blows, a short-circuit may be
present and the product should be discarded or
returned to an authorized service facility for
examination and/or repai
r.

HOW TO USE
Make sure plug fits tightly into outlet. 120
volts 60 hertz,
A.C. current. A loose fit will
cause overheating and permanent damage
to the plug.
Turn fan switch to desired level: Low,
Medium or High.
To turn off fan, use the switch and turn to
Off.
Always operate fan on its base in the nor-
mal position with both legs on the floo
r.
CARE & CLEANING
This fan should be cleaned on an as needed
basis to prevent restricted air flow of both
grilles and moto
r.
• Before cleaning the fan, unplug the power
cord from outlet.
• Remove front grille by removing screws
on the sides (
DO NOT REMOVE REAR
GRILLE).
• Clean grilles and blade with damp cloth.
Avoid harsh chemical cleaners as these amy
ruin the fan finish.
Do not immerse the motor in water.
• Re-attach front grille.
• Remove excess dust from the motor vents
with a vacuum cleane
r.
Your fan motor is permanently lubricated
and requires no additional oil.
Allow fan to dry completely before use.

4. Before each use, inspect the power cord
forcuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are
found, this indicates that the appliance should
be serviced and the power cord replaced.
Please return it to the manufacturer for service
or to an authorized service representative.
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the
appliance as this could cause the appliance to
fray and break.
6. Do not replace attachement plug.
This
contains safety device (fuse) that should not
be removed, Discard product if the attachment
plug is damaged.

HOW TO REPLACE FUSE
WARNING: Risk of fire. Do not replace
attachment plug. Contains a safety device (fuse)
that should not be removed. Discard product if
the attachment plug is damaged.
1. Open fuse cover - slide open fuse access cover
on top of attachment plug towards blade.
2. Remove fuse carefully - turn fuse holder over
to remove fuse.
3. Close fuse cover - slide close the fuse access
cover on top of attachment plug.
WARNING! Risk of fire. Replace fuse only
with2.5
Amp, 125 Volt fuse.
