UNIT DESCRIPTION
The LMSW-105 Digital Scene
Switch is a low voltage device
used to set and recall preset
lighting scenes and raise and
lower lighting levels. It is part of
a Digital Lighting Management
(DLM) system. This device
combines the features of a four
button scene switch and a rocker
paddle dimmer (LMDM-101).
OPERATION
The scene switch operates on a DLM local network, typically within a single
room. When initially installed, all lights in the room are bound to the scene switch.
The paddle and scene buttons are preset at the factory as shown below:

SETTING SCENES
Scenes can be customized for specifi c needs. By default, all loads on the local
network are bound to each scene switch in the room.
To change a scene:
1
Turn on the load you want to adjust.
2
Using the master paddle on the LMSW-105 raise or lower the light to the desired
level.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each load you want in the scene.
3
When you have adjusted the light levels to your liking you can press and hold any
scene button for 5 seconds to record the scene. The blue LED on the button will
blink. When the blinking stops, the scene is recorded. This procedure can then be
repeated for all other scenes.
Note: If there are lights in the room that you want turned OFF for a particular scene,
make sure that those lights are OFF when you record the scene.
ACTIVE DIM
Active Dim is a feature that allows any rocker paddle on the local network (both
LMDM-101 and LMSW-105) to temporarily adjust the light level of the loads bound to
any button on the same local network.
1
A quick double tap of a load button puts this button into Active Dim for 5 seconds
or until another button is pressed.
2
Press and hold the top or bottom of any blinking rocker paddle in the room to
raise or lower the load accordingly, as long as they are dimmable loads.
Once released and the Active Override times out, the all of the rocker paddles in the
room will return to controlling only the load to which they are bound.
If the user begins to adjust the level during Active Override, then the timeout period
will be extended by 2 seconds after the last activity to allow further fi ne tuning.
Active Dim is indicated by the LED on the top of the rocker paddle (and all other
rocker paddles in the room) and the LED for load button blinking. If more than one
scene were active at the same time, this same operation could be performed in
order to select which scene the rocker paddle will adjust. During Active Override a
single tap to the bottom of any rocker paddle will turn off all loads associated with
the button that is in Active Override
