OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Note: All ADC520/ADC720 Series cameras ship with a 120VAC to 12VDC UL listed power supply with a
6-foot (1.8m) cord. 12VDC cameras will not line-lock and are not recommended for use in a matrix
switcher environment.
Thank you for choosing this high quality camera, before attempting to connect or operate this product, please
read these instructions completely and carefully.
1. Please use a regulated 12VDC power adaptor to operate this unit. The
power tolerance of this unit is

10% (10.8VDC~13.2VDC); a power input of more than 13.2VDC will damage this unit.
2. The video output (BNC connector) of this unit should only be connected to a non-powered device.
Please check the wiring of the video output before applying power to this unit. If the power is applied
through the video output cable, the unit will be damaged.

Use only a regulated 12VDC power adaptor to operate this unit. If the input voltage is greater than
12VDC, it may reduce the IR LED lifetime. If the voltage is less than 12VDC, it may reduce the IR LED
effective distance.
General
This video camera employs a Sony Color CCD (charge coupled device) solid-state imaging device that
provides extremely long life and high reliability. The camera offers excellent reproducibility with low lag and
high burn resistance. It is not subject to distortion from magnetic fields and functions reliably across a wide
temperature range.

WARNING
At close range, Infrared light can seriously damage a person's vision. Install this Illuminator in such a manner
as to provide a minimum safety zone of 1.22m (4ft) between the Illuminator and the closest possible human
contact.
SERVICE WARNING
DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO AN OPERATIONAL IR ILLUMINATOR
Since IR light is invisible to the human eye, the only method of verifying a malfunctioning IR illuminator is to
observe the picture at the video output location.

Connections
1. Connect the video terminal of the camera (VIDEO) and the video input terminal of the video monitor with
a 75-ohm coaxial cable.
