Using the factory default schedule
The PS165VSP is manufactured with default program settings for out-of-the-
box functionality. These settings may not be optimal for your individual pool; for
setting optimization, please refer to the Owner’s Manual.
The PS165VSP must be wired according to the locally adopted version of the
NEC. A licensed, qualied electrician should complete the wiring for this product.
1. Once power is applied to the motor, pressing the START button will start the
PS165VSP based on the factory default schedule.

Creating a Custom Schedule
The PS165VSP user can program the DURATION and SPEED for STEP 1,
STEP 2, STEP 3 & OVERRIDE buttons. The PS165VSP must be stopped (Press
STOP button) for programming DURATION and SPEED of the STEP 1, STEP 2,
and STEP 3 buttons. OVERRIDE DURATION and SPEED can be programmed
when stopped or running.
Press the STEP 1 button. The STEP 1 button and DURATION setting LEDs will
illuminate. The bar graph will show default DURATION for STEP 1.

Press UP (+) or DOWN (-) arrows to change the DURATION.
Press the STEP 1 button again to change the SPEED setting. The SPEED
setting LED will illuminate. The bar graph will show default SPEED for
STEP 1.
Press UP (+) or DOWN (-) arrows to change the SPEED.
Press any STEP or OVERRIDE button to save the DURATION and SPEED
settings for STEP 1. If the user decides not to save the settings, pressing
the STOP button will revert back to the previously stored setting.
Press STEP 2, STEP 3, or OVERRIDE button. Repeat steps 1- 4 to program
the corresponding DURATION and SPEED for each button.
Press START to run based on the programmed 24 hour schedule.
