Ignitionswitch

Themainignitionswitchcontainsthreepositions:

• ON(1):Theenginecanstart,thekey

cannotberemoved.

• OFF(2):Thispositionshutsofftheengineand

allowsyoutoremovethekey.

• LOCK(3): FromtheOFFposition,pushinward

andturnthekeycounterclockwisetothe LOCK

positionwhileturningthesteeringcolumntotheleftand

shakingitlightlytoengagethesteeringlock.

Removekey.

Brake Levers andThrottle

Rearbrake(4):Whenstoppingthescooter,squeezetherearbrake

smoothlyandfirmly. Alwaysengagetherearbrakefirst.

Frontbrake(5):Squeezethelevergentlyatfirst to avoidlockingthe

front wheel.Mostofyoustoppingpowercomesfrom thefront wheel,

whichshouldalwaysbeusedtosupplementtherearwheel.

throttletoavoidenginefrom stalling.Deceleratebyrotatingthe

throttleawayfrom you.Thethrottleincludesa safetyspringthat

snapsthethrottlebacktoidlewhenreleased.
