Lumiglo Fast Boil Kele
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precauons should
always be followed, including the following;
• This appliance is intended for indoor, household use. Unintended
use or operaon may result in personal injury, damage to property
or damage to the appliance that will void the warranty.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilies or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision and/or instrucon concerning safe use of the
appliance and the understanding of hazards. Children shall not play
with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children unless they are older than 8 years old and
supervised.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8
years old.
• Never handle or operate any appliance with wet or moist hands.
• Do not immerse appliance, cord or plug in water or other liquids.
Take care whilst cleaning.
• If the appliance has fallen in water do not reach for it, immediately
switch the appliance o at the mains and unplug it.
• Ensure that the cord is not in a posion where it can be pulled or
tripped over accidentally. Never use the cord to carry or pull the
appliance. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or
counter.
• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not use the appliance if it has malfunconed, been dropped or
damaged in anyway. If the unit has been damaged take the unit for
examinaon and/or repair by an authorised service agent.
• Do not aempt to open the appliance, repair or modify the
appliance, use the appliance for unintended applicaons or use
accessory aachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
Safety informaon
Failure to follow these instrucons may result in re, electrical
shock, or risk of injury to persons.
• Do not place the appliance near a naked ame, hot gas or electric
burners, or any appliances generang heat.
• Always remove the plug safely from the socket aer use. Do not
pull from the cord.
• Ensure that all packaging is removed before use.
Appliance specic safety informaon
• Ensure that the kele is used on a rm and at surface out of the
reach of children, this will prevent the kele from overturning and
prevent damage or injury.
• Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without
pping the kele too fast.
• Be careful of relling when the kele is hot.
• The aached base can not be used for anything other than its
intended use.
• Extreme cauon must be used when moving an appliance
containing hot water.
• Unplug the kele from the outlet when it is not in use and before
cleaning. Allow the kele to cool before pung on or taking o
parts and before cleaning the appliance.
• The kele can only be used with the stand provided.
• If the kele is overlled, boiling water may spill our from the sides.

• Posion the lid so that steam is directed away from the handle.
• Do not remove the lid while water is boiling.
• Ensure the kele is switched o before removing it from its stand.
• Please do not leave this appliance unaended when it is switched
on.

Before rst use
• Clean the kele before rst me use by boiling a full kele of water twice and
then discarding the water. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
Please note: MAX capacity 1.7L
Boil-dry protecon
If you aempt or accidentally boil the kele without water the boil-dry protecon
mechanism will automacally switch the appliance o.
Using the appliance
1. Remove the kele from the power base and open the lid by pressing the lid
buon.
2. Place the kele under a running tap and ll to above the minimum and below
the maximum mark.
3. Posion the kele on the power base.
4. Connect the appliances plug to the electrical supply and switch the appliance on.
5. Turn the keles switch on. The light will indicate that the appliance is now on.
6. Once the appliance has boiled the kele will automacally ick o. You can
cancel the boiling at any point by ipping the switch up.
7. Li the kele from the power base and pour the water from the kele.
Cleaning and maintenance
• Disconnect the kele before beginning cleaning.
• Do not immerse the power cord or base of the appliance in water or liquid for
any reason.
• Wipe the body of the kele with a damp cloth or cleaner. Do not use abrasive
materials to clean the appliance.
• Always unplug the kele when it is not in use.
• The kele or any of it’s components are not dishwasher safe.
Descaling the appliance
Periodically remove mineral deposits that collect in your kele, this can be done by
using shop bought descaler or by following these basic instrucons using white
wine vinegar. It is recommended you do this once a month.
1. Fill the kele with 3 small cups of white wine vinegar, add water so that the
kele is full between the MIN/MAX mark.
2. Once the kele has boiled remove it from the heat. Pour out the cleaning
mixture. Boil the kele again with normal water and repeat several mes unl
the odour of vinegar has disappeared.
You can also use a shop bought descaler to do this. Simply follow the instrucons
on the packet and run the appliance as normal with the descaler soluon in it.
Aer use, run clean water through the appliance three mes.
UK and EU guarantee
Your new Andrew James product comes with a 24 month guarantee and a 2 year
xed warranty, eecve from receipt conrmaon. Your receipt or order number is
required as proof of purchase date so it is imperave that you keep it safe. This
guarantee only applies if the item has been used solely for the use intended, and all
instrucons have been followed accordingly. Please note this product is for
domesc use only and not for commercial use.
Abuse of your product will invalidate the guarantee. Returned goods can only be
accepted if repackaged properly within the original colour product box, and
presented with the original receipt of sale/order number. This does not aect your
statutory rights.
Returned products must be cleaned and returned to us in as close to delivery
condion as possible.
If your product develops a problem within the rst 12 months of the xed warranty,
we will pay all shipping costs to have it returned to us. Aer 12 months the
customer will be liable for the cost of returning the product to us. We will then pay
to have the repaired/replaced item shipped back to the customer.

Customers are responsible for any taxes applied to our products when they are
shipped outside of the EU.
All of our prices are inclusive of VAT.
Once a product has been returned to us, we will aim to repair or replace it within 30
days of receipt.
The guarantee does not cover any defect arising from improper use, damage, build-
up of lime scale or repair aempts made by third pares. Also, the guarantee does
not cover normal wear and tear of individual parts.
Electrical informaon
Always ensure the voltage on the rang label corresponds to the power supply
where the product is being used.
WARNING! This product must be connected to an earthed electrical power supply.
The green/yellow conductor in the supply cord must be connected to the Earth
terminal in the plug. The power supply must have an Earth connecon.
Precauons should be followed for safe cable management and connecon to the
power supply.
If a new mains plug needs to be ed follow the ng instrucons supplied with
good quality BS1363A plugs. If in doubt consult a qualied electrician or appliance
repair agent.
• Safely dispose of the old plug.
• Connect the brown lead to the live terminal “L” in the new plug.
• Connect the blue lead to the neutral “N” terminal.
• Connect the green/yellow lead to the earth “E” terminal
Recommended fuse: 13A
If an extension cable is required, it must have an earth conductor. To avoid
overheang the extension cable should be rated no less than 13A and be fully
unwound before use.
Do not aempt to modify electrical plugs or sockets or aempt to make an
alternave connecon to the electrical supply.
Disposal of the appliance

Non-household waste. This product must not be disposed of together with ordinary
household waste.
Separate collecon of used products, baeries and packaging allows the recovery
and recycling of materials. Re-use of materials helps prevent environmental
polluon and reduces the demand for raw materials.
