WARNING
Make sure your field of view is not obscured after mounting your
windshield to your UTV roll cage.
CAUTION
Be sure your windshield is strapped securely and tightly to your
UTV roll cage.
WARNING
Do not transport an installed windshield on an open trailer or
truck. The windshield could get damaged, could damage the UTV
and/or possibly come off in traffic possibly causing injury and/or
damage to other property.
WARNING
Warranty void if installed windshield is transported on an open
trailer or truck.
Installation
1. Place your windshield over the front of your roll cage with the QuadGear
logo on your windshield facing out and right side up. Loosely attach your
windshield to your roll cage first with the top straps and then with the side
straps (Fig. 1).
If your cover has additional straps along the top, secure them around the
horizontal bar.
NOTE: On most models the underside of the roll cage top is lined with a
rip-and-grip panel (front side only) that can be used to combine with the UTV
windshield (Fig. 2).
If your windshield has a rip-and-grip strip along the bottom edge, remove
the backing and centering the windshield, press firmly to your UTV. Allow 24
hours for the adhesive strip to cure.
2. Adjust the top straps and then the bottom straps to position your
windshield in the center of the roll cage uprights (Fig. 3). When it is centered
and level, tighten all the straps.
Cleaning
Don’t clean the clear plastic of your windshield when it is dry—you can
scratch it. The best way to clean the clear plastic is to hose it with water and
rub it with your bare hands or soft cloth. Liquid soap may be used.
Clean the fabric areas of your rear window with a soft brush and warm
water. DO NOT USE SOAP as it can damage the protective coatings on the
fabric. Air dry.
Storage
To avoid mildew be sure that your windshield is completely dry before you
store it for an extended period in an enclosed area.
