IMPORTANT
First make sure that the appliance has not been
damaged in transit. If any damage has been
incurred, please inform the supplier
immediately.
Please read these instructions carefully.
Keep the instructions in a safe place and make
sure that they are retained with the refrigerator
when the appliance is transferred to a new
location or owner.
Note! If this refrigerator is replacing a larger one
which is going to be scrapped, remove the door
before disposal to prevent children from
becoming trapped inside.
Please contact the relevant area refuse office to
arrange disposal. The pipe system of your
refrigerator must not be damaged if technically
correct disposal is to be guaranteed.
If possible, please take the packaging of your
new refrigerator to the recycling centre for your
area.
Recommendation: before installation or initial
use of the appliance, clean the interior and
fittings with lukewarm water and, if necessary, a
mild detergent. Never use acidic, abrasive or
strong-smelling detergents or wax polishes!
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The refrigerator is equipped with an absorber
unit which is completely silent in operation.
It is designed for free-standing installation but
can be built in if the following instructions are
observed.
In order to ensure perfect operation and
maximum cooling efficiency of the appliance, the
following conditions must be strictly complied
with:
1) sufficient supply of fresh air from below;
2) good heat dissipation above the cooling unit,
free from obstruction;
3) stable, level position of the refrigerator;
If the appliance is to be built in, please ensure
that it can be removed if necessary without
damaging the surrounding fitments.
The refrigerator must be positioned far enough
into the fitment for the entire unit to project into
the air duct. Ventilation must not be obstructed by
a radiator, television or any other source of heat.
Two refrigerators should not be built in, one on
top of the other, unless separate ventilation is
provided for each.
Below are several possibilities for building in the
refrigerator, whereby the dimensions given are
minimum dimensions.
If built into an open shelf, fig. 2, it is sufficient for
the air duct to be 105mm deep. This can be
achieved by attaching 105 mm spacers to the
rear panel of the shelf (not supplied). The entire
unit must nevertheless project into the air duct.
If built into a wall cupboard, fig. 3-5, the air duct
must correspond to the width of the refrigerator
and measure at least 105 mm above and behind
the refrigerator. If decorative grilles are used, the
open ventilation section per grille must
measure at least 200 cm
2
.
During installation, please ensure the mains
plug is accessible at all times.
Door hang and decorative door panel
The position you select for your refrigerator may
make it necessary to reverse the door hang. If
this is the case, please read: Reversing the
doorhang.
The decorative panel on this appliance can be
replaced. With regard to this please read:
Changing the decorative door panel.
Connecting to the mains
The appliance must only be connected to the
mains by means of an earthed socket which has
been installed in accordance with the
regulations. Before connecting up, check that
the voltage on the data label (in the top left of the
inside compartment) is compatible with the
mains supply.
SWITCHING ON
To switch on the refrigerator, plug it into the
socket and turn the thermostat (in the inside
compartment) to position 3 or 4. The appliance
will be cool in about one hour.
The temperature inside the refrigerator is
affected by location, room temperature and too
frequent opening of the door. Adjustment of the
thermostat dial may therefore be necessary.
Temperature control
The cooling capacity can be adjusted by means
of the thermostat. 0 = cooling is switched off,
from 1-5 the temperature decreases. When the
thermostat is at a medium setting (3 or 4) and the
ambient temperature is normal, the temperature
inside the refrigerator is between 0°-7°C.
Note! Depending on the ambient temperature,
service life, and quantity and temperature of the
refrigerated items, the temperature inside the
refrigerator can drop to below 0°C when the
thermostat is set at 5 (maximum cooling
capacity). Drinks can freeze, glass bottles and
cans may burst!
If the ambient temperature is very high, the
cooling capacity decreases. This does not mean
that the appliance is defective.
