Solar Cell, and 7" Full-Color HD LCD Display. This User Guide is intended to provide you with
guidelines to ensure that operation of this product is safe and does not pose risk to the user. Any use
that does not conform to the guidelines described in this User Guide may void the limited warranty.

• This product is only suitable for mounting at height less than 6.6 ft. (2 m).
• Do not tamper with the unit’s internal components. Tampering with the product will void the
warranty.
AA batteries are not included. When inserting batteries, make sure that the positive and negative
polarities match with the markings in the compartment. CR2032 battery is included.
Do not mix standard, alkaline, and rechargeable batteries together.
• Leaving a battery exposed to extremely high temperature in the surrounding environment can
result in an explosion or leakage of ammable liquid or gas.
• Leaving a battery exposed to extremely low air pressure in the surrounding environment can
result in an explosion or leakage of ammable liquid or gas.

PACKAGE CONTENTSTIPS FOR SENSOR SITE SELECTION
• Rain collector must be cleaned every few months.
• Batteries in sensor must be changed every two to two and a half (2 – 2.5) years.
• Sensor should be installed at least 5' (1.5 m) away from any building or structure.
• Choose a location in open space under direct sunlight with no obstructions.
• The sensor should remain in line of sight and within 328 (100 m) of the console for consistent,
steady transmission.
• Keep your sensor and console away from household appliances that operate on the same
frequency. The console and sensor should be at least 3' – 7' (1 – 2 m) away from such interferences.

SETTING UP THE WIRELESS 7-IN-1 OUTDOOR SENSOR
The wireless 7-in-1 outdoor sensor measures wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV, light intensity,
temperature, and humidity.

INSTALLING THE RAIN FUNNEL
1. Align the lock grooves on the rain funnel with the lock grooves in the rain collector.
2. Lower the rain funnel onto the rain collector. Then, turn the rain funnel clockwise to lock it in place.
1. Unscrew the battery door at the bottom of the 7-in-1 outdoor sensor using a screwdriver (not
included).

3.1.1 INSTALL RAIN GAUGE FUNNEL
Install the rain gauge funnel and rotate clockwise to lock the funnel to the sensor array

3.1.2 INSTALL RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
Step 1: Unscrew the battery door at bottom of unit and take
out the cable socket.
Step 2: Connect the Ni-MH rechargeable battery plug to the
socket.
Step 3: Make sure the red LED indicator on the back of the
sensor array is turn on and then begin ashing every 12
seconds.
Step 4: Adjust the cable and socket into shallow hole and put
the battery pack into the battery compartment.
2. Connect the cable of the rechargeable battery pack (included) to the cable located in the battery
compartment.

Install the rain gauge funnel and rotate clockwise to lock the funnel to the sensor array

Step 1: Unscrew the battery door at bottom of unit and take
out the cable socket.
Step 2: Connect the Ni-MH rechargeable battery plug to the
socket.

sensor array is turn on and then begin ashing every 12
seconds.
Step 4: Adjust the cable and socket into shallow hole and put
the battery pack into the battery compartment.
3. Adjust the connected cables so they t comfortably in the compartment. Then, insert the battery
pack into the compartment.
4. Close and fasten the battery door back on the compartment.
NOTE: The LED light will ash red every 12 seconds.

Step 6: Remove the solar panel protection lm.
NOTE:
- USE ONLY the rechargeable 3.6V Ni-MH battery-pack provided.
- Do NOT use battery of different type.
- It is recommendable to wrap water-resistant tape over the socket for extra protection against
moisture and salinity in air.
3.1.3 ADJUST THE SOLAR PANEL
The tilting angle of solar panel can be adjusted vertically from 0° into 15°, 30°, 45° and 60°
positions depending on the area you are living in. For optimal power output year-round, please
set the tilt angle that is closest to your latitude.

*Sensors installed in Southern Hemisphere must have their solar panels facing North.
Step 1: Loosen the screw lightly until the gears on the
opposite side separated from lock position.
1. Remove the protection lm on the solar cell.

Step 5: Close the battery door and tighten the screw
Step 6: Remove the solar panel protection lm.
NOTE:
- USE ONLY the rechargeable 3.6V Ni-MH battery-pack provided.
- Do NOT use battery of different type.
- It is recommendable to wrap water-resistant tape over the socket for extra protection against

2. Loosen the screw at the joint so the gear on the other side of the joint pushes out. The solar cell
should now be in an unlocked position.
3. Adjust the vertical angle of the solar cell to get the most optimal usage out of the solar cell
depending on your location.
4. Push the gear inward and tighten the screw until the gears lock in place.
When adjusting the solar cell set it to an angle closest to your latitude. View chart below to get an idea
how you should angle your solar cell.

MOUNTING THE SENSOR ON A POLE
1. Stick the rubber pads on the inside of the mounting clamp and mounting base of the sensor.
2. Insert two (2) screws into the mounting base and clamp. Then, loosely tighten the screws using
included nuts.
3. Place the mounting xture over a pole (not included).
4. Tighten all the screws so the sensor sits rmly and securely on the pole.
NOTE: Place the mounting base and clamp on a steel pole or post with a 1.2″ – 1.6″ (30 – 40 mm)
diameter and is a minimum of 6.6' (2 m) o the ground.
When setting up the outdoor sensor, make sure the rain collector side is facing north.
When placing the outdoor sensor, make sure it is within 492’ (150 m) of the display console.

3. Place the battery door back onto the compartment and twist it in place.

SETTING UP THE DISPLAY CONSOLE
1. Connect the power adapter to the integrated power cord of the console.
2. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a power outlet to turn on the console.
3. Flip the antenna on back of the console up.
4. Once the console is turned on, the segments on the HD display will light up.

Effective wireless communication is susceptible to noise interference in the environment, and
distance and barriers between the sensor transmitter and the display console.
1. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) – these may be generated by machinery, appliances,
lighting, dimmers and computers, etc. So please keep your display console 1 or 2 meters
away from these items.
2. Radio-frequency interference (RFI) – if you have other devices operating on 868 / 915 / 917
MHz, you might experience communication intermittent. Please re-located your transmitter or
display console to avoid signal intermittent problem.
3. Distance. Path loss occurs naturally with distance. This device is rated to 150m (450 feet)
by line of sight (in interference free environment and without barriers). However, typically
you will get 30m (100 feet) maximum in real life installation, which includes passing through
barriers.
4. Barriers. Radio signal are blocked by metal barriers such as aluminum cladding. Please align
the sensor array and display console to get them in clear line of sight through window if you
have metal cladding.

1. Install the back-up CR2032 battery
2. Connect the display console power jack to AC power with the adaptor included.
The outdoor wireless weather sensor is calibrated to be pointed north for maximum accuracy. However,
for your convenience, if you are a user located in the Southern Hemisphere, you can use the sensor with
the wind vane pointing south.
1. Mount and install the wireless weather sensor with the wind meter end pointed South, instead of
North. (Please refer to Mounting Sensor on Pole for mounting instructions.)
2. Select “S’ in hemisphere section of the setup UI setup page. (Please refer to Setting Up Weather
Server Connection section for setup details)
3. Press the APPLY icon to conrm and exit.
NOTES: Changing the hemisphere setting will automatically switch the direction of the moon
phases on the display.
Pointing the wireless weather sensor toward the south will allow maximum sunlight on the solar
panel, especially during the winter season in the Southern Hemisphere.
To mount the sensor, place a screw into the wall. Then, hang the sensor on the screw using the wall
mounting holder on back of the sensor.
POINTING THE WIRELESS 7-IN-1 OUTDOOR SENSOR TO SOUTH (OPTIONAL) MOUNT THE SENSOR TO A WALL
1. Remove the battery door of the sensor.
2. Use the channel slider to set the channel number for the sensor.
3. Insert two (2) AA batteries into the battery compartment. Then, place the battery door back on
the compartment. The transmission status LED will begin to ash every minute.
NOTES: The hygro-thermo sensor will enter synchronization mode and pair to the display
console within the next 30 – 60 minutes.
To reassign the sensor, use the channel slider to change the set channel number then press the
RESET button on the sensor.

coming 12-24 hours within a 30-50 km (19-31 miles) radius

Wind chill or windchill is the lowering of temperature due to the passing-ow of lower-temperature air. Wind
chill is determined by a combination of the wireless weather sensor’s temperature and wind speed data.
Check the weather website for real-time barometer conditions then adjust the relative in the Calibration
setting section.
This section displays the wind speed, current wind direction, predominant wind directions, and wind
speed level.
Wind speed: is the average wind speed measured in the previous 12 seconds.
Average wind: is the average wind speed in 10 minutes.
Gust: is the highest wind speed recorded in the previous 12 seconds
• RAIN RATE: current rainfall rate in the last 10 minutes
• DAILY: total rainfall since midnight
• WEEKLY: total rainfall between Sunday and Saturday
• MONTHLY: total rainfall from rst to last day of the month
• TOTAL: total rainfall since the last reset

temperatures in the region between 18.1°C to 25.9°C where both wind and humidity are less
signicant in aecting the temperature, the device will show the actual outdoor measured
temperature as Feels Like Temperature.

higher than 10°C with wind speed below 9km/h may result in erroneous wind chill reading).

Based on rate of changes in atmospheric pressure, the weather station predicts the weather condition in
coming 12-24 hours within a 30-50 km (19-31 miles) radius

The Beaufort scale below is an international scale of wind velocities from 0 (calm) to 12 (Hurricane force). The wind speed level chart on display provides a quick reference on the current wind condition. The
background color of the compass changes according to the wind speed.
UV INDEX AND LIGHT INTENSITY
This section displays a chart for UV index and light intensity.
SUNRISE/SUNSET & MOON RISE/MOON SET TIME
The console indicates your location’s sunrise/sunset & moon rise/moon set times, which is based on time
zone, latitude, and longitude you entered. If Daylight Saving is set to AUTO, the times will adjust an hour
forward automatically for daylight saving.
MULTI-CHANNEL AND SCROLL MODE FOR OPTIONAL SENSORS
Users can add up to seven (7) additional hygro-thermo sensors to display console. While on the home
screen, press the CHANNEL button to switch between indoor and channels 1 to 7. To go through
the channels every ve (5) seconds automatically press and hold the CHANNEL button for two (2)
seconds until the icon appears on screen.

The US EPA denes the UVI as follows:

4.9.8.1 ERASE ALL DATA
Prior to and during installation of the 7-in-1 sensor-array, the sensors were likely to be
triggered, resulting in erroneous measurements and data. User may clear out all these data
from the console when the nal installation is completed and start afresh.

5. DATA LOG FUNCTION
You can use the USB ash drive to record the weather data for further analysis.
5.1 TO START DATA RECORD
1. Format the USB ash drive to fat 32 with PC.
2. Plug the drive to the console USB port.
3. In "Data log" setting (section 4.9.9), select "enable" to start data record.
5.2 TO STOP DATA RECORD
1. In " Data log" setting (section 4.9.9), select "disable" to stop data record.

5.3 DATA FORMAT AND OPERATION
When you view the USB ash drive, There may have several les listed which is base on .
The le name is: Data_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.csv
YYYYMMDD is the le creation date
HHMMSS is the le creation time
Each csv le can record 7 days data that start at Sunday 00:00, once the le complete it will generate
another csv le to record the data for next 7 days.
NOTE:
- To avoid the wrong time stamp of the data record, please set the console time and date correctly.
- The storage capacity is depend on the USB ash drive capacity

You can use a USB ash drive to record the weather data for further analysis.
1. Format the USB ash drive to fat32 format with a PC.
2. Connect the ash drive to the console USB port.
3. In the “Data log” setting, select “enable” to start the data recording.

The console can upload/download weather data to ProWeatherLive (PWL), Weather Underground (WU)
and/or Weathercloud (WC) through wi- router, follow the step below to set up your device.

1. Visit the ProWeatherLive website at https://www.proweatherlive.net and click the “Create Your
Account”. Follow the instructions to create an account.
NOTE: Please use a valid email address to register your account.
2. Once your account is created, sign into it, and then click “Edit Devices” in the drop-down menu to
add a new device.
3. In "Edit Devices" page, click the "+Add" on the top right corner to create a new device, it will generate
the station ID and key instantly, jot down both and then click "FINISH" to create the station tab.
4. Click the " Edit " on the top right corner of the station tab.
5. Enter in the "Device name", "Device Mac address", "Elevation", "Latitude", "Longitude" and select your
time zone in the station tab, then click "Conrm" to save the setting.
6. On the “Setup” page, enter the Station ID and key assigned by ProWeatherLive that you received.

SETTING UP WI-FI® CONNECTION
When you rst power up the console, the console LCD display will show the “AP” ashing and the
icon to signify that it has entered Access Point (AP) mode.
1. To activate AP mode, press the SETTING button to open the setting menu.
2. Press the up or down key to enter the other setting section.
3. Press the right key to enter sub menu.
4. Press the up or down key to select Enable Access Point, then press the conrm key to start
the AP mode.
Use your smartphone, tablet, or computer to connect to the console via Wi-Fi® by following these steps:
1. On PC, open your Wi-Fi® network settings. On Android or iOS devices, go to settings menu and
then select Connections/WI-FI to open the network settings.
2. Locate the display console’s SSID from the list. It should appear as PWS-XXXXXX (where all the X’s
are integers) in the list. Tap on the SSID to connect. This step will take several seconds.
3. Once you are connected to the display console, open your internet or mobile web browser, and enter
the following address into the address bar: http://192.168.1.1 (make sure to include the http:// or
else the web browser may interpret the address as a search query). We recommend using the latest
version of reputable web browsers.
5. Select the Weather underground in rst or second row of the Weather server setup section then enter
in your Station ID and key that was assigned by Weather underground.
4. Memorize your Station ID and key for future setup.

7. CONNECT DISPLAY CONSOLE TO WI-FI
7.1 CONSOLE IN ACCESS POINT MODE
When you power up the console for the rst time, the console LCD will show ashing "AP"
and " " icon to signify that it has entered AP (Access Point) mode, and is ready for WI-FI
settings. User can also manually set the console into AP mode.

NOTE :
- Some browsers will treat 192.168.1.1 as a search, so make sure you include header http://.
- If you cannot enter the console 's web interface, please turn o the mobile data / network in you smart
phone and try again.
- Recommended browsers include the latest version of Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox or Opera.
- WI-FI network interface of PC/Mac or smart phone may subject to change.
