Addendum: V1.03 software
1. The OUTPUT menu now has an additional page (first in the sequence when the access button is
pressed), which shows a user-editable output name and the routing selection. Turning encoder X
clockwise allows the name to be edited (using encoders Y and Z), and then turning encoder X anti-
clockwise confirms the edit. EncoderYselects the routing fromA, B, C, D, A+B, C+D, orAll. If the selected
routing is A+B or C+D, then encoder Z operates as a balance control. There is also a display of the bandwidth
of the selected output.
3. The second page in the OUTPUT menu now contains the settings for phase invert, delay, and output level -
note that phase invert is no longer on the phase shift page. The output level on this page operates in 0.1 dB
steps, and is separate from the eight physical output level knobs on the unit's front panel, which act as
additional trims based on this initial value.
4. The default page (shown after HOME is pressed) now shows the “unit name” which is a user-definable text
field, together with the name of the most recently recalled memory. The memory name is normally shown in
upper-case, but if a control has been moved since the memory was recalled, it will change to lower-case to
indicate the departure from stored settings. The unit name text is set by entering the SETUP menu (hold down
the HOME key for 1 second, then press HOME repeatedly to step through the items).
5. Pressing an output knob will mute that output - indicated by the red status ring lighting. Pressing the knob
again will un-mute the output and extinguish the ring. Note that to prevent accidental operation there is a
deliberate short delay before this function operates. If the knob is pressed for more than 2 seconds, then this
function (mute or un-mute) will be applied toALLthe unit's outputs.
6. The input compressor now has a sub-menu within the INPUT menu. On the compressor page, encoder X is
used to navigate to the three pages of compressor controls, each of which contains two parameters controlled
by encodersYand Z. These are “threshold / ratio”, “knee_type / bypass”, and “attack / release”.
7. If the user has moved the front-panel output trims from their detent positions (0dB) and then performs a
STORE operation, the unit will offer the option to add these trim values to the menu-controlled output values
before storing. If this option is taken, then the user will be prompted to re-set the knobs to the detent position
during the store sequence, to ensure that the unit is set to the same actual audio level following the addition of
the trim values to the previously stored values. At each stage of the STORE sequence, pressing STORE will
move on through the store function, and HOME will abort it.
Note also the following corrections not related to V1.03:
1. Page 27 Low pass filter frequency range is actually 50Hz to 20kHz.
2. Page 28 Look-ahead limiter threshold is actually +21dBu to 10dBu.
3. Page 28 Look-ahead limiter release is actually 1mS to 100mS.
4. Page 27 Routing; the paragraph “Note that sources comprising… …the same value” should be deleted- this
limitation does not, in fact exist.
2. The order of the high-pass and low-pass filter pages in the OUTPUT menu have been reversed. The HPF
page is now displayed before the LPF page.
