Operating Precautions
The projector’s light source unit uses a laser and LED.
The life of the light source unit is rated at approximately 20,000 hours. The actual life will depend on
use conditions, the settings configured on the setup menu, and differences between each individual
light source unit.
The light source unit is warranted for the period noted on the warranty certificate or for 6,000 hours,
whichever comes first.
The failure of the light source unit to light or a noticeable drop in light source unit brightness
indicates the end of the light source unit’s life. Contact your original dealer or authorized CASIO
service center for replacement. Note that problems caused by unauthorized projector disassembly
or modification are not covered by the warranty and are not eligible for repair by CASIO.
About the Light Source Unit
Do not block light output or look directly into the
lens!
Never block light output while the light is on.
Never look directly into the lens while the light is on. Particular care is

Charging Precautions
Charge a battery in a location whose ambient temperature is between 10°C and 30°C (50°F to
86°F).
Charging may take longer, or full charging may not be possible under temperatures outside of this
range.
Charging may not be possible if the ambient temperature and battery temperature is too high or too
low. If this happens, remove the AC adapter from the battery and place the battery in a location
whose ambient temperature is between 10°C and 30°C (50°F to 86°F) for a while, and then try
charging in that location.
A battery that has not been charged for a very long time (about six months) may take longer than
usual to charge. Charging will stop automatically if a battery has not become fully charged after
about six hours of charging.
Precautions When Using a Battery
Due to battery characteristics, a charged battery will provide less operating time under cold
temperatures than it provides under normal temperatures.
Do not break or remove the outer label of a battery.
If a battery goes dead very shortly after it is charged, it probably means that the battery has reached
the end of its service life. If this happens, purchase a new battery.
Do not connect two batteries to each other.
Precautions During Battery Storage
Keep batteries out of areas subjected to high temperatures and humidity. Store them in a cool
place.
To prevent over-discharge, charge a battery to a charge level of 60-41% at least once every six
months. For details about charge levels, see “Indicator During Charging” (page 31).
You may not be able to get a battery to start charging if it has not been charged for a long time
(about six months). If this happens, contact your original retailer or a CASIO Service Center.
If a battery is not used for approximately 1.5 months, it will automatically go into a low-power mode.
A battery will not supply power while in the low-power mode. Charging the battery will exit its low-
power mode and allow it to supply power.
A battery deteriorates over time. The pace of the deterioration depends on ambient temperature
and the charge state of the battery. In particular, a fully charged battery that is left in a hot
environment tends to deteriorate more rapidly, regardless of whether it is being stored or used
there.

Handling rechargeable batteries (Please recycle!)
Be sure to recycle no longer needed batteries to help conserve precious resources. Do not
disassemble batteries. Recycle them “as-is”. Contact your original dealer or authorized CASIO service
center for information about recycling.
The soft inner case protects your projector and battery from scratching and dust. It does not protect
against damage due to dropping or strong external impact.
Never try to load the projector into the case with its battery connected.
The projector will be hot after use. Take care when handling it and inserting it into the soft inner
case.
Liquids, rubbing against other objects, and other rough treatment may cause color fading and/or
discoloration.
Prolonged close contact with clothing and other materials may cause color fading and/or color
transfer, chemical changes to the case surface, etc.
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause color fading or discoloration.
Storing in a well-ventilated location is recommended.
Clean with a soft, dry cloth.
This projector is made of precision components. Failure to observe the following precautions can
result in inability to correctly save data and malfunction.
Never use or store the projector in the following locations. Doing so creates the
risk of malfunction of and damage to the projector.
Never use the projector in an environment where large amounts of oil smoke are
present. In particular, ceiling or wall mounting the projector in an environment
where large amounts of oil smoke are present can result in the projector falling
from its mounting.
Ensure that the remote control signal receiver is not exposed fluorescent light,
sunlight, or other strong light. Strong light can cause malfunction.
