1.2 Replacement of the DLite handles
This procedure describes how to replace the handles of a DLite tile while
the t ile is mounted in the DLite display (on site). The same procedure
is applicable upon unmounted DLite tiles (e.g. at a workshop). The in-
structions regarding the safety cable can be omitted when replacing the
handles of unmounted DLite tiles (e.g. at a workshop).
WARNING: Replace one handle at a time so that the DLite tile is always se-
cured with a safety cable through the remaining handle. The replacement
should be done as soon as possible to avoid potential hazard to persons
and or property.
Necessary tools
4 mm Allen wrench (included in the kit).
Necessary parts
• Two metal handles per DLite tile.
• Two M5x10 hexagon socket head cap screws per handle.
How to replace the handles of the DLite tile?
1. Make sure that the DLite tile is secured with a safety cable. The safety cable (reference
1 of image 1-2) must pass through the upper handle (reference 2 of image 1-2) to form
a closed loop with the support structure of the DLite display.

3. Install the lower metal handle (reference 5 of image 1-4) as illustrated. Tighten the
handle with two M5x10 replacement hexagon socket head cap screws (reference 6 of
image 1-4) until it is firmly secured. Use the included 4 mm Allen wrench.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Do not reuse the longer screws from the plastic handle to
secure the metal handle. The metal handles are less thick and thus the screws
are shorter.
