4. Important safety advice
This control unit may only be connected and put into operation by qualified
and suitable trained specialist personnel. For the purpose of this description
qualified and suitable trained specialist personnel are persons who are adequately
instructed or supervised by qualified electricians and are thus in a position to
recognize the hazards that electricity can cause. Moreover, they must hold
qualifications consistent with the work being carried out. This presupposes
in particular
• knowledge of applicable electro-technological regulations,
• training in the use and maintenance of adequate safety equipment,
• first aid training.
Attention!
Before carrying out any cabling work, it is essential to
disconnect the control unit from the mains supply.
• Observe local safety regulations!
• Always lay mains cable and control cable separately.
Control voltage 24 V DC.
Attention!
Before putting the control unit into operation, it is essential to
ensure, that there are no persons or objects within the door's
aeria of operation, since a number of settings set the door in
motion!
• All available emergency command devices must be tested prior to initial
operation.
• The door operator must be installed with the door closed!
• After installation and initial operation, those persons or their representatives
responsible for operating the door system must be shown how the door
system works!
• No cables should be fed into the top of the control unit!
• For technical reasons, the first time the control unit is switched on, the door
opens fully.

4. Important safety advice
Attention!
Wait 60 sec. before starting installation works on motor!
After separation of the operator from mains the frequency
transformer still features a residual stress.
Attention!
Special note for installation according to protection category
IP 65: At the very latest following initial operation, the cable
with plug allowing connection to the mains must be replaced
by a fixed direct mains connection. At the same time a mains
isolator switch must be fitted.
Attention!
Non-compliance with these warning and safety instructions can
lead to personal injury and material damage.

5. General facts for frequency transformer operator
By means of the frequency control the door travel speed in direction OPEN or
CLOSE may be set variably. The approaches for acceleration and deceleration
ensure a soft start and soft stop at the travel limits and thus protect the
mecanical construction of the door.
The frequency of the transformer influences the speed of the operator.
Following sketches show the travel diagrams in OPEN and CLOSE direction by
which the functions of the additional end switches and the activation of the soft
travel are explained.

OPEN direction
In OPEN direction the frequency transformer accelerates from its basic frequency
in time tb to its travel frequency. The actuation of additional end switch S12
activates the soft stop in OPEN direction, in time tv OPEN it decelerates the
speed to basic frequency. With this speed it travels to the upper end limit.

CLOSE direction
In CLOSE direction it accelerates from its basic frequency in time tb CLOSE to its
travel frequency. If additional end switch S14 is actuated, the soft stop in CLOSE
direction is activated, which decelerates the operator in time tv CLOSE to its
basic frequency. With this speed it travels to the downward travel limit.

6.1 Connection control unit — door operator
1. Connect mains lead of the operator to control unit (fig. 7) with the pin-bar
(51) (connect PE-cable to protective terminal (50)).
2. Connect marked system cable to the control signal socket (53) and the
unmarked system cable to the RPM sensor socket (52).
3. Connect mains lead of operator (fig. 8) to pin-bar (54) (guide PE below
printed circuit board and connect it to the protective terminal (57)).
4. Connect marked system cable to the control signal socket (56) and the
unmarked system cable to the RPM sensor socket (55).

Attention!
The control unit Control 45-FU features a static current circuit.
If this static current circuit is interrupted, power operation of
the door is no longer possible. Elements within this static
current circuit are e.g. the cable slack switch, the wicket door switch and cable
safety switch. If these elements are not available, insert enclosed short-circuit
plug into socket X31.
6.2 Connection control unit — door leaf
Attention!
If you want to put a door system with closing edge safety
device into operation, please pass on according to wiring
diagram mentionned on page 36 insted of wiring diragram
mentionned below. For following operational check the optosensor
(transmitter and receiver) may not be connected.

Connection of cable slack device
• Connect system cable to socket X31 (25) in control unit.
• Insert the control unit mains plug into a site electric socket in accordance with
CEE standard 16 A.
• Check that the power supply at this socket corresponds to the voltage
indicated on the rating plate of the control unit and also that its protection
category complies with the local regulations.

• If the control unit is to be connected directly to the mains, a mains isolator
switch will have to be installed.
Operational check
Mains connection and cabling of operator:
• Half open the door by hand.
• Swith ON at the mains.
- The VOLTAGE control light (8) should light up.
-> if not, look up section 'no voltage' in the test instructions.
• Press the OPEN button (11).
- The door should open
-> If the door doesn't move: look up section 'no reaction on IMPULSE'
in the test instructions.
Operational check
Safety circuit:
• Actuate each safety element separately.
- Power operation of the door should now no longer be possible.
-> If this is not the case, check the electrical connection of the respective
safety element.
• Disconnect from mains supply.
Attention!
With the following settings it is important to ensure that the
door is never allowed to open or close fully. Halt the door at
least 50 cm before it reaches its mechanical travel limits by
pressing the STOP button (13).

6.3 Adjustment of the control cams
Advice:
For settings of the control cams you need an Allen wrench
size 2,5 mm.
6.3.1 Setting of soft stop for CLOSE travel limit
• Move the door by hand to its mechanical travel limit DOOR CLOSED.
• Open housing cover on door operator.
• Release the stop (grub screw J) of control cam (A).
• Set control cam (A) in such way, that the limit switch CLOSE (G) is actuated
according to Fig. 12 (position H)
• Fix control cam (A) by screwing on grub screw (J).
• Adjust, if necessary, door position CLOSE on adjustment screw (K) on control
cam.

6.3.2 Setting of limit switch closing edge safety device STOP
The limit switch closing edge safety device STOP deactivates the closing
edge safety device a short moment before the door reaches its travel
limit CLOSE, in order to prevent it from faulty operation
(e.g. unintentional reversion).
• Release the stop (grub screw J) of control cam (E).
• Set control cam (E) in such way, that the limit switch closing edge safety device
STOP (G) is actuated approx. 5 cm before the door seal reaches the floor.
• Fix control cam (E) by screwing on grub screw (J).

Release the stop (grub screw J) of control cam (C).
• Set control cam (C) in such way, that the limit switch is actuated approx.
0,5 – 0,7 m before the door reaches its CLOSE travel limit (position H).
Fix control cam (C) by screwing on grub screw (J).

6.3.4 Setting of travel limit OPEN
• Move the door by hand to its mechanical travel limit OPEN.
• Release the stop (grub screw J) of control cam (B).
• Set control cam (B) in such way, that the limit switch OPEN (G) is actuated
according to Fig. 15 (position H)).
• Fix control cam (B) by screwing on grub screw (J).
• Adjust, if necessary, door position OPEN on adjustment screw (K) on control
cam.

Release the stop (grub screw J) of control cam (D).
• Set control cam (D) in such way, that the limit switch is actuated
approx. 0,7 – 1 m before the door reaches its OPEN travel limit (position H).
Fix control cam (D) by screwing on grub screw (J).
Install housing cover again.

7. Programming of Control 75-FU
7.1 General information
Control 75-FU has a display to indicate status and fault messages as well as to
indicate menu numbers and menu contents of the programming menus.
Possibilities of programming menus:
Programming of performance of Control 75 FU
Indication of details fault numbers
Programming functions are controlled by buttons h, g and j.
The menu number is selected by button h (next menu) and g (previous menu).
The menu number is indicated on the display permanently glowing.
Button j opens the selected menu.
The set values resp. parameters are indicated by flashing lights.
The values are changed by actuating buttons h and g Button j saves
the indicated value and closes the menu.
Programming menu is closed by selection of menu 0
Menu 0 is reached when status indication (see chapter 7.2) is shown on display.
The control unit is then in normal operating mode.
