DVR Basic/Default Configurations
Connect a USB mouse to your DVR, and navigate to right end to navigate Setup menu (Hammer

Video out resolution: 1024 x 768 (to adjust to Full HD 1080p resolution (1920x1080), go
to Setup – Device – Display)
Time clock: Automatic time sync every hour. (network/internet connection required)
HDD installation: Once you connect a new HDD (SATA cable enclosed) and turn on the
DVR, it will ask you to format the HDD. By clicking ‘Format’, the DVR starts recording.
(Western Digital Purple preferred, up to 6TB/each, some models can install multiple
HDDs)
Network access software: PC software enclosed (CD), for Android and I-Phone, search
and install an app (MVIEWERPRO by DVRDOMAIN, search by ‘dvrdomain’ will be easier
and faster)
Port Forwarding: Port forwarding should be done to access your DVR over internet. The
DVR needs 5920 (Command port, TCP), 5921 (Stream port, TCP), and 80 (Web server,
TCP). Please consult with your network advisor to set up a port forwarding!
DDNS service is available. Setup – Device – Network – DDNS. Select on ‘dvrdomain.com’
then click on ‘Get Domain Name’. Write down and keep the name and use this name as
your (IP) address info. (port forwarding should still be done)
