DESCRIPTION
The LS-5C is a low voltage wall switch used with a LightSaver
LCD-203 dimming daylighting controller. It allows occupants to
temporaily override automatic dimming daylighting control provided by
the multizone controller.
OPERATION
The LS-5C has four operating buttons (Automatic,On/Off, Raise and
Lower). An LED indicates whether the controller is operating the lights
automatically or is being manually overridden. Pressing the On/Off
button temporarily puts the controller into manual mode and switches
the lights ON or OFF. Pressing and holding the Raise and Lower
buttons on the LS-5C increases or decreases the light level. Pressing
the Auto button switches the controller back into automatic operation.
When the controller is connected to an occupancy sensor, the manual
override terminates when occupancy ends. When occupancy resumes,
the controller reverts to automatic control.
INSTALLATION
The switch is made up of two primary parts: the
cover plate and the back containing the buttons,
electrical components, wire terminals and mounting
strap. It mounts to a standard single-gang box.
Removing the Screwless Cover Plate
1. Press the black tab at the bottom edge of
the cover plate.
2. Pull the lower edge of the cover plate away
from the back.
3. Lift the cover plate up and off as shown in
Figure 1.

Replacing the Screwless Cover Plate
To replace the cover plate, place the hang bar at the top of the plate
onto the hang hook at the top of the switch base. Press the bottom in
place until it clicks.

Maximum wire distance from the controller to the LS-5C is
150 feet. Wiring terminals are on the back of the switch.

Mounting
Secure the switch back to the wall box using the mounting
screw holes provided. Secure the screwless cover plate to
the switch back as shown in Figure 2.
