Hubbell ASB is a group operated, outdoor, side break air switch designed for use in electrical power distribution systems. It is capable of interrupting currents up to 1200 or 2000 amperes at voltages ranging from 7.5 to 138 kV. The switch is designed to be mounted on a structure and operated from the ground using an operating handle or gearbox. It features porcelain insulators for electrical insulation and is equipped with arcing horns to help extinguish the arc during switching operations.
