Subject: BIC LMS Valve Replacement
4. Locate the dispense valve mounting plate in the top
center of the dispensing area. Remove the four (4)
outer screws that secure the mounting plate in place.
,CAUTION
Using too much force while pulling down on the plastic mounting
plate could cause damage to the plate.
,CAUTION
Be extremely careful when pulling down on the mounting plate
to prevent product tubes from disconnecting. If product tubes
disconnect and slip into the chase it will be very difficult to
retrieve the product tubes.
5. Pull gently down on the mounting plate until the
product tubing can be accessed. With the tubing
now accessible pull down on the tubing lowering
the dispense manifold as far down as possible. Now
locate the tubing inside of the refrigerated cabinet.
6. The tubing is towards the upper right rear inside of
the cabinet and is separated by the chase that runs
upwards towards the dispensing area. Push the tubing
upwards as far as possible. Return to the dispense area
and pull the tubing downwards as far as possible.
7. Return to the inside of the cabinet and push the tubing
upwards as far as possible.
8. Repeat the pulling of the tubing downwards in the
dispense area and the pushing up of the tubing inside
of the cabinet until the top of the dispensing plate is
easily accessible.
9. Locate the three (3) sets of LMS valve blocks.

10. Starting with the valve block labeled number one (1)
as shown above, remove the two (2) screws from the
metal mounting plate for tubes labeled 5-7.
NOTE: The tubing is numbered and will need to be returned
to the same position within the dispensing mounting plate
following the replacement of the LMS valves. See “DISPENSE
MOUNTING PLATE” on page 1.
11. Remove the remaining two (2) blocks of three (3) valves
from the dispense mounting plate.
12. Wash, rinse, and sanitize the dispense mounting plate.
13. Starting with mounting block one (1) with tubes 5-7,
use Oetiker pliers to cut and remove the existing
Oetiker clamps that secure the product tubing to the
LMS valve.
14. Remove the old LMS valves and Oetiker clamps and
discard. Install the new LMS valves using new Oetiker
clamps to secure valves to tubing.
15. Repeat steps to replace valves in block two (2) then
block three (3). It is recommended replace valves one
block at time, starting with the blocks towards the rear
of the machine first.
16. Reconnect the valve blocks to the dispense mounting
plate.
NOTE: The product tubing MUST be in the correct position.
