Camius SCOUT20PTZ User manual

  • Hello! I'm a chat assistant and I've reviewed the user manual for the CAMIUS SCOUT20PTZ PTZ camera. This manual covers key areas such as the camera's power-on self-test, various cruising modes, PTZ control operations, and how to customize cruise patterns. I'm ready to answer any specific questions you have regarding the device and instructions contained in the document.
  • What happens during the power-on self-test?
What are the available cruise types?
How does proportional speed adjustment work?
How can I set a line scan?
What happens when in 'Watch Point Set' mode?

1. PTZ functions
1.1. Power-on Self-test
Upon power-on, the speed dome will perform a power-on self-test (POST):
1. The camera will rotate at a constant speed clockwise and tilt horizontally until it detects the zero point.
2. The camera will perform a vertical motion test and finally stop at the 45° position of the vertical line.
3. Lens motion test: the lens will focus on the nearest point and then out to the farthest point and then
back to finish self-testing.
1.2. Basic Functions
Cruising: these are the programmable cruise types: preset point cruise (including point setting),
watchpoint, trace cruise, pattern scan, and line scan.
Proportional speed auto-adjustment: panning and tilting speed will vary based on the zoom level; when
the lens is zoomed out, speed increases, and it decreases the more zoomed in the lens is; this ensures
better object tracking
Cruise auto-resume: this feature is enabled by default. If the speed dome loses power while performing
random cruising (except watchpoint), it will resume cruising after power comes back on
