1- Precautions
COMMENTS:
This equipment has been tested and found in accordance with the limits for the digital device Class B in
Part 15 of FCC rules. These limits have been developed to ensure reasonable protection against harmful
interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can deliver the radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful
interference to radio communications. This is not guaranteed, however, that no certain facilities have
some interference. If this device realizes interfere with the reception of radio or television, which can
be verified by connecting and disconnecting the device, we encourage the user to correct this problem
by applying one or more of the following measures: - redirected or reposition the receiving antenna. --
Increase the distance between the equipment and receiver. -- Connect the computer in a plug attached
to a different circuit of the circuit on which the receiver is connected; ask for assistance from your
retailer or an experienced specialist in radio / television.
WARNINGS:
o This device agrees with the rules of FCC when it is combined with other computers through wires
and through shielded connectors. To prevent any risk of electromagnetic interference with other
electrical equipment such as radios and televisions, use protected cables and connectors for
connections.
o Do not open the equipment and do not try to dismantle the internal components or modify them.
Damage can result from that.
o Do not disassemble the device when is under stress. An electric shock or fire or other hazards can
result from that
o Do not try to touch the electrical outlet with wet hands or use a cable damaged or naked. An
electric shock or fire can result in that.
o Do not move the device when is operating. The hard disk can be damaged. Turn off the device
before moving.
o If dropped or hits another object, the device as well as your hard disk can be severely damaged.
o Do not expose your device to a dusting place , do not place it in areas exposed to direct sunlight,
damp or wet environments containing liquids that can be introduced through the openings.
o Do not place the equipment or near a heat source to prevent any damage, place it in a well
ventilated area.

2- Important Safety Instructions
o READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS - all instructions to the security and operation should be read before using the
product
o KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS - instructions to the security and operation must be retained in order to refer to
it later.
o HEED WARNING IN ALL - all warnings about the product and instructions for the operation must be followed
to the letter.
o FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS - all operating instructions and use should be followed.
o CLEAN ONLY WITH A WET TISSUE - remove this product from the wall takes before cleaning. The product
should be cleaned only with a linen cloth. Never clean with wax for furniture, benzene, pesticides or other
volatile liquids that could damage the box.
o NOT USE THE DEVICE NEAR WATER - use this product near water - for example, near a bathtub, a toilet, a
kitchen sink, in a wet basement, near a swimming pool or other parts of the same gender.
o ACCESSORIES - use only the parts / accessories specified by the MANUFACTURER
o VENTILATION - do not obstruct any of the air vents. Install according to the manufacturer's instructions
o CONNECTED TO LAND OR POLARIZATION-Do not defeat the signs of security of the polarized plate or type
of position in the land. A polarized ballot has two plates, with one wider than the other. A ballot on the type of
position in the land has two plates and the third pin in position to land. The wide blade or third pin is intended
for their safety. If the ballot is not stocked entering its making, consult an electrician to replace the mural
making.
o CORD PROTECTION - protects the power cord so that it does not go up or that there is not strangled
especially where there are ballots, plugs and where exits from the device.
o LIGHTING - disconnect device during a storm or if the device is not used for an extended period.
o REPAIR - for the entire repair operation, move to the technical service STOREX. A repair is needed if the
device has been damaged by whatever way, for example if the cord assortment or the ballot is stocked
damaged, liquid overturned, objects fell within the device, the device has been exposed to rain or moisture, not
operate normally or fell.
o HEAT - not install near a heat source as radiators, registers heat, stoves (pans), or other devices (including
amplifiers) that released heat.
o
HARD DRIVE - will not be responsible for any damage that would result from a loss or recovery of information
on the hard drive. Moreover, in case of repair or in the case of trade in response to damage, we will not be
responsible for private or personal information stored on the hard drive or other storage device or damaged or
lost, or the recovery of such data. The clients have to backup their data before returning the hard drive or
other recordable product for repair.

3- BEFORE YOU START
Thank you for purchasing this product. Please confirm that the following accessories are in the box
when you open them.
3-1 Putting batteries in the remote control
1. Open the lid of the battery compartment in the rear of the remote control.
2. Insert two AAA battery / R03 batteries in the compartment that follow the signs (+ -) compartment.
3. Close the lid.

3-2 Using the remote control
When using your remote control remember the following:
o Make sure that there would be no barrier between the remote control and detector unit
o The distance operation can fail if the collector of the unit is exposed to sunlight or fluorescent.
o The remote controls from the different devices can interfere with each other. Avoid using remote controls
or other devices near this unit.
o Replace batteries when needed.
NOTE: inappropriate use of batteries can drag dangers leaks and bursts. Please note the following:
o Do not mix old batteries with new batteries.
o Do not mix different types of batteries while it seems like, different batteries may have different tensions.
o Make sure the limbs or more and less of each stack correspond to the signs of battery compartment.
o Remove batteries from a device that will not be used for a month or more
o When you put the batteries, please observe government regulations or environmental rules in his country.
3-2 File system
You will find 3 file systems when you use AivX-385HDRW
UDF (Universal Disc Format)
The vast majority of the registration data of the AV input are in a UDF file system that lets you edit the data
recorded. You can use the vast majority of the editing functions necessary as Delete, AB Delete, Merge and
Rename. You can create partitions during the formatting of the hard drive.
NOTE: a computer equipped with Windows does not read this partition when AivX-385HDRW is connected to a PC
as an external hard disk.
FAT 32 (File Allocation Table 32Bit)
AivX-385HDRW takes over the FAT32 system for fast access to contents on your connected storage. You can record
and enjoy time shift with this file system. You can copy the files and folders by remote control as well as by
computer. It will be made during HDD format when you select Multimedia Disc partition in HDD
NTFS (New Technology File System)
You can playback the contents inside. File copy to NTFS system is only available by computer while connecting this
unit as an external HDD. This partition is mainly designed when you want to copy a file whose size is more than
4GB because FAT32 has the limit of 4GB of single file size. Recording and Time Shift are not available with NTFS
File System. It will be made during HDD format procedure.

6- Format the hard drive
When you start your AivX-385HDRW, the dialog box will be displayed next.
Select OK By pressing the button on the remote control or on the OK button in your screen
NOTE
• Formatting will erase the entire contents and data on the hard disk. Please format the hard drive after having
backup the contents and important data.
• The dialog box above may not be displayed on your TV when it is connected to an HDMI cable. In this case,
please retry connecting the TV with a scart or RCA plug and cables.
6-1 Timeshift Buffer Disc Capacity
1. Squeeze on , to adjusted the total length Timeshift Recording 1 to 4 hours
2. Press the button and select Next by pressing Enter or OK button on the front key.
NOTE: hard drive space selected for the total Timeshift Recording can be used only for Timeshift Recording

6-2 Recording & Multimedia Disc Capacity
1. Squeeze on , ability to select each registration and multimedia partition.
2. Press the button and select Next by pressing Enter or OK button on the front Key
NOTE:
Partition registration: hard drive space in which you register the contents of an AV input as a decoder, video
recorder, a camcorder.
Partition media: hard drive space in which you copy files AV and photo files. Just as ts, tp, avi, mpg, JPG, WMA,
OGG etc..
6-3 selecting a multimedia disk space
1. Squeeze on , to select the capacity of FAT32 and NTFS in a multimedia disk space.
2. Press the button and select According want by pressing the button or on the OK button in your screen

6-4 Hard Disc Format
1. Press the button and select Format by pressing the button or OK On the screen, formatted begin.
2. Select OK clicking the button OK on the screen. Formatting is running out.
NOTE:. Please do not reformat AivX-385HDRW in your computer cause it will be detected as a new hard drive if it is
reconnected.

7- Initial Configuration
When you finished formatting AIVX-385HDRW, you can adjust the language, time or LAN
.
o Connect or plug your connection.
o Attach your adapter to the AivX 385HDRW adapter and the other end into a wall socket
o Turn on the switch on the rear panel of AivX-385HDRW. The AivX-385HDRW will stay in standby mode.
o Click the power button on the remote control or on the front. The AivX-385HDRW will start; it can take up
to 20 seconds.
The dialog window of the initial configuration is displayed lower
1. Choose your language by pressing the buttons , and Enter to execute it.
2. Adjust the date and time by pressing the digital buttons and the buttons , and press Enter to execute
3. Select OK And press Enter when invited to do so. Select Cancel and click Enter if you want to delete the
parameters.
4. Select DHCP IP (auto) or IP (Manual) according to its statute IP by pressing buttons , and press Enter to
execute

o If you select or DHCP IP (auto), the IP address will be defined parameters according to the DHCP network
o Select Cancel if you do not want to see added network available or you do not want the paramètrer now.
o If you select Fix IP (Manual) adjusts manually depending on their LAN network numbers or by pressing
buttons , and press Enter to execute on.
5. Select OK and press Enter when will be invited to do so. Select Cancel andclick Enter if you want to cancel
the arrangements.

NOTE: Please review the explanation network parameters of this manual for more information. The dialog box
above may not be displayed on your TV when it is connected to an HDMI cable. In this case, please try again
connecting with the TV scart cable or RCA.
