AttachtheSunshield

Attachingthesunshieldisoptional.Thesunshieldhelpskeepthetemperatureinsidethecamera

down.

1.Removethescrewplugsfromthecameraunit.

2.Placethesunshieldonthecameraunit.

3.Securethesunshieldusingthesuppliedscrews.

ReplacetheDomeCover

Replacingthedomecoverisonlynecessaryifyouwanttouseasmokeddomecoverorifthe

domecoverisscratchedordamaged.Smokeddomecoversandsparecleardomecoverscanbe

purchasedfromyourAxisreseller.

1.Loosenthedomeringscrewsandremovethedomecover.

2.Removethedomebracketscrewsandremovethedomebracketandthedomecover

fromthedomering.

3.Makesuretherubbergasketisttedcorrectlyonthedomecover.

4.Attachthedomebracketandthedomecovertothedomeringandtightenthescrews

(torque3.2Nm).

5.ToinstallanSDcard(notincluded),seeInstallanSDCard,onpage19.

6.Attachthedomecovertothetopcoverandtightenthescrews(torque3.2Nm).

InstallanSDCard

ItisoptionaltoinstallanSDcard(notincluded),whichcanbeusedforlocalrecordingwith

removablestorage.

1.Loosenthedomeringscrewsandremovethedomecover.

2.InsertanSDcard(notincluded)intotheSDcardslot.

3.Attachthedomecovertothetopcoverandtightenthescrews(torque3.2Nm).

ThecamerahousingcanbelledwithNitrogengastopreventcondensation.

Note

Thecamerahousinghasanoutletvalvethatlimitsthellingpressureto0.5bar(7psi).

Duringnormalusethepressureinsidethecamerahousingmaydropbelowthatpressure.

Forfullprotectionmakesurethatthepressureisabove0.2bar(3psi).

1.Settheregulatorgaugeonthegascylinderto0.5bar(7psi).

2.Removethecapsfromtheintakeandoutletvalve.

3.Placethechuckontheintakevalveandpressdowntollthecamerawithnitrogen.

4.Whenthepressureinsidethecamerahousingreaches0.5bar(7psi)theoutletvalvewill

open.Placeyourhandovertheoutletvalvetoverifythatthegasisowingout.

5.Keepthegasowingthroughthecamerahousingforoneminutebeforeremovingthe

chuckfromtheintakevalve.

6.Lifttheoutletvalvetolettheoverpressureoutofthecameraunit.

7.Repeatthellingprocessatotalof3times,leavingthethecamerapressurizedthe

lasttime.

8.Putthecapsbackontheintakeandoutletvalves.

InstallthePowerSupplyandtheMediaConverterSwitch

Thesuppliedmediaconverterswitchenablesthemulti-connectorcabletosendpowerfromthe

powersupply(soldseparately)andtosendandreceivedatatoandfromexternalalarmdevices

andthenetwork.
