1.1 Product description
AExhaust silencer
BDC fan with low power consumption
CStainless steel Inox-Radial heat exchanger
DTwo-stage Compact blue flame burner
EIntegral, variable speed high efficiency DC pump
FVitotronic control unit
The wall mounted oil condensing boiler Vitoladens 300-W enables
energy-efficient, reliable utilisation of condensing technology with low
sulphur fuel oil.
High quality stainless steel is used for the Inox-Radial heat exchanger;
this has been shown to be an ideal material for reliability, long service
life and economy. In conjunction with low sulphur fuel oil EL, the clean
combustion of the Compact blue flame burner and the self-cleaning
effect of the Inox-Radial heat exchanger, the same cleaning intervals
apply as with conventional oil boilers. This makes the Vitoladens 300-
W as easy to maintain as the wall mounted Vitodens condensing boil-
ers.
The Vitoladens 300-W offers trouble-free, efficient and reliable oper-
ation with low sulphur fuel oil DIN 51603-1 EL and fuel oil DIN 51603-6
EL A Bio 10, i.e. low sulphur fuel oil EL with up to 10 % bio-components
(FAME) added. The fuel tank does not need to be cleaned out before
its first filling with this type of fuel oil.
The new control unit simplifies operation thanks to a multi-line plain
text display with user prompts and a graphic interface.

Note
Install the fuel oil filter at the height of the lower edge of the boiler and
as near as possible to the boiler, to ensure the oil hoses are long
enough when removing the burner. The fuel oil filter may be fitted either
on the r.h. or l.h. side of the boiler to suit local conditions.
Side clearance for service work
For burner service, use the cleaning set available as an accessory.
The burner holder supplied as part of this set enables an optimum
service position to be achieved for the burner. In addition, a side clear-
ance of 300 mm (on the left or right) next to the Vitoladens 300-W is
recommended.
Variable speed heating circuit pump in the Vitoladens 300-W
The integral circulation pump is a high efficiency DC pump (corre-
sponding to energy label A) with more than 50% less power consump-
tion than conventional pumps.
The pump speed and consequently the pump rate is regulated subject
to the outside temperature and the switching times for heating or
reduced mode. The control unit transmits the current default speed via
an internal data BUS to the circulation pump.
Individually match the minimum and maximum speed plus the speed
for reduced mode to the existing heating system using the control unit
codes.
The minimum pump rate is selected in coding address "E7". The max-
imum pump rate is selected in coding address "E6". The setting ranges
of these codes are limited by boiler-specific parameters.

Information regarding the connection sets
The dimensioned drawing shows example fittings for upward connec-
tion and connection to the left/right, for installation on finished walls.
For the dimensions of the individual connection sets, see the technical
guide.
If using connection sets (for downward connection) with a preinstalla-
tion bracket for installation on finished walls, maintain a wall clearance
of
70 mm.
The adjustable feet give all height measurements a tolerance of
+15 mm.
Side clearance for service work
For burner service, use the cleaning set available as an accessory.
The burner holder supplied as part of this set enables an optimum
service position to be achieved for the burner. In addition, a side clear-
ance of 300 mm (on the left or right) next to the Vitoladens 333-F is
recommended.

DHW heating with the Vitoladens 300-W
DHW cylinders are also available in white in the following versions:
■ Below (120 or 150 litre)
■ Adjacent (160, 200 or 300 litre)
The Vitoladens 300-W is factory-fitted with a three-way diverter valve
for DHW heating.
To connect a DHW cylinder, always order the connection set for the
respective DHW cylinder.
Size the DHW cylinder in accordance with DIN 4708 part 2 [or local
regulations].
For further technical details regarding the DHW cylinders, see Speci-
fication.
