1 Explanation of symbols

2 Intended use
The Dometic Control Panel (DCP) is the control unit in a system for the central
monitoring and controlling of CI BUS-based vehicle technology in recreational
vehicles.
The operating system of the DCP can be updated via a micro SD card slot on the
backside of the panel.
This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in accord-
ance with this instruction. Any other use, deviating from the intended use, is not
allowed! Dometic accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury incurred,
directly or indirectly due to other as the intended use.
NOTICE!
Indicates a situation that, if not avoided, can result in property damage.
NOTE

3 Preparing the update
To prepare the DCP operating system update you need:
• a computer with Windows operating system
• a micro SD card with enough storage capacity (> 100 MB)
• the current Windows tool “Win32 Disk Imager”
• the DCP operating system update provided by the original equipment
manufacturer

3.1 Flashing the update to a micro SD card
To flash the software update proceed as follows:
➤ Insert the micro SD card (1) into the card reader.
➤ Connect the card reader (1) to the computer (2).
NOTE
• If your computer does not have a micro SD card slot, you can use a
micro SD card reader as adapter.
• You can get the current “Win32 Disk Imager” software at:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/

➤ Check if the card reader has been recognized by the computer.
➤ Open the tool “Win32 Disk Imager” (1).
✔ “Win32 Disk Imager” (1) starts.

➤ Select the card readers drive letter (1).
➤ Click on the folder (2) to search for the path to the DCP software update.
✔ A new window opens.
➤ Select the file (3) to the DCP software update.
➤ Click on the button “Open” (4).

✔ The path to the DCP software update is now selected (5).
➤ Click on the button “Write” (6).
✔ A security query will appear (7).
➤ Click on the button “Yes” (8) to confirm.
✔ The DCP software update is being written onto the mirco SD card.

✔ A successful flashing of the software will be announced (9).
➤ Click “Ok” to confirm (10).
➤ Remove the card reader (1) from the computer (2).
➤ Securely store the micro SD card with a note of the DCP software update
version number.

3.2 Necessary tools
A
To remove the display you need appropriated tools, for example:
• a plastic wedge
• a flat-headed screwdriver
4 Updating the DCP operating software
To update the DCP operating software proceed as follows:
➤ Press the “Home” button (1) to show the main menu.
➤ Take a picture of the main menu screen.
Use this picture for selecting the values of the CI BUS-based vehicle technol-
ogies when setting up the updated DCP operating software (see chapter
“Setting up the DCP operating software” on page 16).
NOTICE!
Use appropriate tools and precautions to prevent damage from voltage jumps
when working on electronics.

➤ Press the “Info” button (1).
➤ Press the “Down” button to scroll down (1).
➤ Identify the software version (2).
➤ Write down the software version so you can ensure a correct update later on.
➤ Disconnect power supply.

you hear a “click”.
➤ Connect power supply to the DCP.

new version (3).
✔ Loading the new software will take 1 to 2 minutes (1).

➤ Access the info field and check if the new software version is installed (1).

➤ Disconnect power supply.
NOTE
If there was no software update, check if the micro SD card is inserted
correctly (2) and repeat the update process.

➤ Push the micro SD card (1) towards the circuit board until you hear a “click”.
✔ The micro SD card has been released from the clamps and jumps out a little.
➤ Remove the micro SD card (2).
➤ Securely store the micro SD card (1).

➤ Re-install the display into the cupboard.
➤ Connect power supply to the system.
✔ The system boots up.

➤ Wait until the system has booted completely.
NOTICE!
Do not touch the screen or the sensory buttons on the display during the boot
process to avoid a faulty calibration. A faulty calibration may result in the inac-
cessibility the “Home Screen”.

5 Setting up the DCP operating software
To set up the initial settings of the DCP proceed as follows:
➤ Wipe across the display as shown in fig. r to access the factory settings
menu.

➤ Press to select “on” for all devices.
➤ Press or to move up and down.
➤ Press or to toggle parameter (e.g. on/off; e.g. Logo-ERIBA).
NOTE
The second wipe must only be to the middle of the screen.
