Windows Installation Steps
Will work for the 1040QW, Megatron II, Maximus III/Plus, Magnus Plus and Cyber-PC.
Preparation
You will need the following:
- A USB Flash Drive (2.0 or higher, and at least 16GB)
- Your device’s Firmware (which can be found HERE)
- A PC that is Windows 7 or higher
- A USB Hub (If installing on tablets)
- A USB Keyboard (If installing on tablets)
- A .RAR file-extracting program (WinRAR, 7-zip, etc.)
1.) Using a separate PC, Format your Flash Drive to NTFS and name the drive WINPE
2.) Extract the .RAR file and copy the extracted files into the flash drive.
3.) With the drive formatted and the files copied, It should look similar to this:
Installation
1.) Make sure your device is powered off. Connect the flash drive, keyboard and device using a hub. If you’re installing
on an Iview Laptop, make sure that the keyboard switch is set to (Unlock) Position.
2.) Once everything is connected, power on the device while pressing F7 on the keyboard.
3.) A Blue Screen will Pop Up that states “Please Select Boot Device”, select your usb flash drive (in this for this example,
“UEFI KingstonDataTraveler 3.0PMAP”) and press “enter”
4.) Installation will begin. Process will take roughly 15 minutes.
5.) Once installation is complete, you will see the following prompt: “x:/windows/system32>____”
6.) Type in “EXIT” then press the Enter Key. You can now remove the USB drive from the device.
8.) Once the device has rebooted, “System Preparation Tool” will pop up, Click “OK” and the device will restart once
more.
9.) Windows device is ready for use.
