A refrigeration system fitted with Microcool controls will usually consist of several
controllers where each controller will regulate its own refrigeration Display case or
Coldroom.
The system has been designed in such a way that contact can be established with
each and every controller via a data communication system. One specific controller
is selected via the handset type AKA21. Once selected it is possible to display
readings or make changes to the control parameters providing the passcode is
entered.

The individual controllers can be accessed in two ways:
1. With the AKA 21 hand setting unit. This
Document describes this mode of operation.
2. Via the Woodley MK 5. See separate manual
for this mode of operation

The access to the functions may be protected with a passcode ( code 2). If the
passcode is required key it in as follows:
Push the “key” key
Enter the passcode with the “+”, “-“ and “Digit” keys
Push “ Enter “ key
Push “ left “ key
Move to the required function by pressing the four arrow keys as required
If you wish to exit from the passcode function press “clear” then “left” keys.

All controllers that are connected to the same network can be accessed with the
AKA21 Hand setting unit. There can be up to 125 controllers on any one network.
They are shown in groups of 16 on the display.

Shown in the upper right corner of the display is the setting with which the controller
is operating. Below that value a new setting may be made. Use the three keys
“+/ON”, “-/OFF” and “Digit” for setting the new value. This new value will not govern
the regulation until you push the key “Enter”. The new value will then move to the
top line.

Help text is attached to the individual displays. When a function is displayed in the
hand setting unit display, the help text can be obtained by pushing the “Help” key.
The help text is intended as a aid to users who no longer need to use these
operating instructions.
In the menu list attached, functions with help text available are identified with the
word “Help” next to the function.
