replacement, for your safety and the preservation of your SportCarrier II , order

IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE INSTALLATION:

- Be sure to read the "Lift & Carrier Compatibility

Information" included in this manual package to

determine whether SportCarrier II is applicable

onto the motorhome chassis.

- Never exceed the weight rating of the rear axle

or tire load ratings of the RV. Doing so will cause

dangerous driving conditions, and possible dam-

age to the RV!

-The original hitch of the coach needs to be re-

placed with the SC9000 or a fabricated 3 receiver

hitch. With the two outside receivers having a 43

inch center to center spacing.

INSTALLING THE CARRIER

1. Measure the deck height when deck is level, this

will give you an idea which way the deck supports

should be ﬂ ipped. If the 3 receiver hitch is high,

the deck supports will have to be ﬂ ipped down.

Pin and clip the two deck support weldments into

the 3 receiver hitch with 5/8" x 3" eff. hitch pins.

Bolt the connector inserts into deck supports with

3/4-10 x 4" hex cap screws, and nylock nuts, mak-

ing sure to use the correct holes (Fig. D).

2. Pin and clip the deck to the tube connectors with

two 5/8" x 3" hitch pins (Fig. D). This procedure

will take two to three people to complete.

3. Bolt the tire stop to either side of the deck with four

3/8-16 x 1 1/4" carriage head bolts, two washer

ﬂ ats, lockwashers, and hex nuts (Fig. E).

DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THIS EQUIPMENT UNTIL THE FOLLOWING

OPERATING AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS HAVE BEEN READ AND UNDERSTOOD.

LOADING INSTRUCTIONS

Slowly ride the motorcycle or golf cart up the ramps

making sure the tires are centered on the ramps.

Acceleration must be slow and steady, NEVER over ac-

celerate!

Secure the cargo with as many tie down straps as

needed. Usually four tie down straps are sufﬁ cient.

To unload, be sure ramps are centered and fastened

in place. Then slowly back down using the brake as

necessary to control the speed.

UNLOADING INSTRUCTIONS

Blue Ox recommends using back tire stops for motor-

cycles, so the tire does not slide side to side.

CAUTION: Insure there is enough clearance between

the cargo and the rear of the ﬁ fth wheel. Not doing so

could damage the cargo and the rear of the ﬁ fth wheel

when traveling through dips and bumps.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

- If loading a motorcycle onto the deck, Blue

Ox has a black powder coated wheel chock avail-

able (SC9001) for supporting the front tire.

MAINTENANCE

Wiping SportCarrier II down periodically will help pre-

vent dust and dirt from building up.

SAFETY NOTES

Be aware that the deck of the carrier rotates up and

can be pinned in that position. Never stand in the path

of the deck. The deck is heavy and could cause injury.

Be sure both pins are used before letting go of the

deck. Use two people if necessary to lower and lift the

deck.

Illustration above shows the SportCarrier II with op-

tional SC9023 ramps. The SC1000 sport ramp is also

an available option for the SC2101 SportCarrier II. The

SC1000 is a single ramp.

ONE YEAR WARRANTY

Automatic Equipment Manufacturing Company (“Automatic”) warrants to the original

(ﬁ rst) retail purchaser that this product, manufactured by Automatic, shall be free from defect in

material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one year from the date of

delivery.

During said one-year period, Automatic will repair or replace any parts that have been

returned by the original purchaser, to the factory, transportation prepaid, and in Automatics sole

and absolute opinion found to be defective.

Limitations on Warranty Coverage:

Coverage under this warranty will be valid only if the customer warranty card is returned

by the original purchaser within 30 days of purchase.

Coverage under this warranty will be effective only when a copy of the original invoice,

showing date and place of purchase, accompanies any claim for warranty. This warranty is NON

TRANSFERABLE.

This limited warranty will not cover, in any way or form, any alleged damages caused

by incorrect or improper installation, improper use, modiﬁ cation or neglect of product, failure

to properly service and maintain, misuse, act of God, accident or failure of the user to follow

guidelines contained in the instructional material provided by Automatic. This warranty does not

cover normal wear and tear, paint or rust.

Warrantor assumes no responsibility to the owner for loss of use of product, loss of time,

inconvenience or any other damage consequential or otherwise. Including, but not limited to

mileage, expense of transporting of product, return shipping expense, mechanics travel time,

telephone, road service, towing, and rental during repairs, travel, lodging, loss or damage to per-

sonal property or loss of earnings.

REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS

THE SOLE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE PURCHASER. AUTOMATIC SHALL NOT

BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH

OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THIS PRODUCT. EXCEPT TO THE

EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MER-

CHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS PRODUCT IS

LIMITED IN LENGTH TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY.

Some states do NOT allow the exclusion of incidental of consequential damages, or al-

low limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so previous limitations or exclusions may

NOT apply to you. This warranty gives you speciﬁ c legal rights and you may also have other

rights which vary from state to state.

Automatic reserves the right to make changes or add improvements to its product at any-

time without any obligation to make such changes to previously manufactured equipment. No

liability is assumed for bodily injury that may be inﬂ icted on the purchaser, operator, spectator or

general public who is in the general area while this equipment is in use.
