1. Pull back the carpet on the driver side of
the vehicle. Locate an area on the rewall
behind the brake pedal and mount the
mounting plate to the rewall with the
supplied #10 screws.
Using a 1/4” drill bit, drill a hole centered
in the threaded opening of the mounting
plate thru the rewall.
2. Loop the cable back thru it itself as shown
(left inset). Feed the cable thru the rewall
and install the Brake Lock assembly into
the mounting plate. Reinstall the carpet
around the Brake Lock assembly. Zip tie
the cable to the brake pedal to keep in
position (right inset).
Note: DO NOT try to pull the cable thru
the assembly internal damage can occur.
3. Feed the cable thru the engine compartment
in the most direct route with the least amount
of obstructions and out the front fascia.
Avoid any moving parts or parts that
could be damaged when the cable tightens
during a breakaway situation.
Feed the cable thru the fuse leaving
approximately 3” of slack. Secure the cable
to the fuse with the two (2) cable clamps and
trim the excess wire.
4. Using the supplied zip ties, secure the
fuse to the fascia so that it is not hanging
down.
Install one end of the coiled cable to the
fuse carabiner. Then attach the other end
to a secure location on the back of the
coach with the other supplied carabiner.
